I just started ignoring wrong answers on new kanji/radical reviews until they got to guru. It was too painful to spend an extra 3 days on a level because I messed up a single kanji

Yes, many times. I still made it to 60, somehow, tho

Fortunately I’m moving at a snail’s pace nowadays, so I don’t have to worry about failing individual kanji so much anymore… I’m hovering around 300-400 reviews. I never thought it would get like this!
Is that how leveling up works? I always assumed that once you passed a certain threshold of kanji/radicals/vocab at guru level or whatever you would level up. Or is it entirely dependent on kanji?

Same. And it was quite enlightening because I expected them to all fall back to apprentice later, but in reality a fairly large part went safely all the way to burned.

Yes, it only depends on the kanji. The bar on the front page tells you how many you need to guru to level up.

Can’t feel that feeling if you bomb all the kanji you need to level up.
