[STATS] Statistics site

But still feels good regardless...
 +1.
But I assume, it also includes the correct re-reviews (of wrong answered reviews) of a session. Which is different to what is shown on the summary page after a session.
Also, I wouldn't call the totals 'combined' ... for me, 'combined' means succesful (combined) review of reading and meaning (what is shown on the summary page after a session)... and that cannot be higher than the single accuracy percentages, can it? But this data is probably not available, I would suppose. And WK calls the totals also 'combined', I guess, on the dashboard menus... so that's only my personal view of the term 'combined'.
Anyway, nice addition to the stats side.
The API provides the same info as the individual item pages: meaning correct, meaning incorrect, reading correct, reading incorrect.

accuracy(meaning) = 100% * sum(meaning_correct) / sum(meaning_correct+meaning_incorrect)
accuracy(reading) = 100% * sum(reading_correct) / sum(reading_correct+reading_incorrect)
accuracy(combined) = 100% * sum(meaning_correct+reading_correct) / sum(meaning_correct+reading_correct+meaning_incorrect+reading_incorrect)

Given the raw numbers (totals for correct and incorrect), I think you'll find the numbers are accurate based on the API info.
Unfortunately, there's not enough information in the API to know how many are "both meaning and reading correct".

I'd be happy to rename "combined"... suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback ^_^

Hey rfindley, this might be asking a lot, but is there any way to get the %correct for the level type of review, i.e., for apprentice, guru, master, etc.?
I’d wish I knew how bad things get when I get into the burn areas.

That would be great info... but unfortunately not available from what little info the Wanikani API provides.
rfindley said...I'll preface by noting that I did lots and lots of study outside the SRS... which was maybe not efficient, but has been very effective.  When I first started, I think I was somewhere in the mid-90s, and one time I got the dreaded 89% on kanji for one level (I can't remember which one).  After that, I totally changed my study method.  Now, at level 60, my overall average is 99.97%.
Wow, 99.97% ! That's 1 item wrong every 3333 reviews ^^ ! I don't know what's your study method, but it certainly is very effective!

Hi all,

I added a breakdown of the Radicals, Kanji, and Vocab.

Example:

rfindley - amazing work! Thank you!

Very nice - thanks Robin!

Love this, and a lot of your scripts rfindley. Much thanks indeed.

Just wonder if it would be possible to have a vocab (and even radicals) “tab” in the ITEMS section. That would make it an even more unbelievably awesome tool.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but I added the following today:

You may need to clear your browser cache.  Or open the Developer Tools (F12) and refresh, which tells the browser to re-fetch most things.

That looks fantastic! Can’t access the site on this dinosaur of a work computer but very excited to be exploring this when I get home. It looks exactly like I hoped it would. Thank you so much

Awesome, just noticed this thread and am trying it out for the first time.  Thanks for the work!  However, I see some items in the “Radicals” view that display as “null” both in their colored boxes, and after "Item: " upon hover.  Known/temporary issue?

This update is awesome. Seeing my progress in this form is very motivating.

Great!  I think motivation is the best way I can contribute ^_^

Hopefully fixed now.  You may need to refresh cache.  :-)

I’ve now managed to check it out at home now and it is truly wonderful - I had to date been focusing on getting Kanji alone correct and leaving previous level’s radicals and vocab to fester a bit - despite realising that there were vocab that time and time again I was missing. This visual tool will enable to focus on that vocab too.

Great work.

RFindley, If you ever find yourself in Okinawa in the near future (assuming my young family commitments allow) the beers will be on me! If  not soon, then in a year or two when our guesthouses get built you get a free night’s stay!

Great work, much appreciated.

It seems like time on level is still being added to my last level (55) which now says 10 days, 14 hours while my current level (56) sits at 0 days, 0 hours.

Wow, my accuracy is 83%. Not bad. Really nice update by the way!

This is usually either because you haven't done lessons on the new level yet (because WK API doesn't give me the level's unlock date until that happens), or it needs a "Force Refresh" (under the user menu on idigtech.com).  Either way, it will eventually transfer the time over to your new level, and will properly reflect your real level-up time.

First off, thank you very much for your hard work. I love your website and use it often.
Just a few comments on feelings, that’s all.

I find that accuracy is something I really only need to check once a month, or maybe once a level if above level 20.
With so many reviews, a few hundred wont really change the percentage, will it?
Does it have to be on the front page? The theme of ‘level up’ seems to dominate the progress tab.
I understand it is a very recent new feature.
May I comment for a hide/show button until you have more features for a new tab?

Perhaps a note on the first post saying that this is a purely statistical site.
Cheating the system to have faster level up days, or a better accuracy is not good.

On another note, I know nothing about Wanikani’s API but would it be possible to extract critical condition items and/or wall of shame?
They are more related to percentages and would possibly make for a new tab.
You could show the items (reading/meaning/total) under 60% accuracy (or user input) for a dynamic list of items.
(I feel bad for those burned items with a low percentage)
There is also the percentage of accuracy per level, then you can mine data about the hardest levels.

Thank you

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the updates. The new accuracy is nice.

Could you correct calculating “fastest” times so it reflects recent change of time necessary to guru kanji? Now it’s 3d10h instead of 4d10h. Thanks for great tool!
