- Practicing new grammar sentences (getting used to saying out loud, rather than writing them)
- Shadowing content (I find this very tiring so can’t do for too long)
- Spending as much time as I can (not much) on VR chat (informal chatter)
Has anyone used Tandem app? I signed up but been stuck in the approval process for a few weeks now

Some said Tandem app is like dating app. But I personally never used it.

Why am I doing this challenge?
I have a placement test looming at the end of March, so I need to practice my output more, especially speaking, as I haven’t done that much since I graduated from high school and stopped taking Japanese classes, and my test will mostly be conversational skills. I might still do a little writing on the side tho 
So, to hold myself accountable, I’ll be trying my best and recording the days I do some form of speaking, whether it be shadowing, reading out loud, or, y’know, actually talking to natives 
Plans
- Do at least 5 minutes a day. Maybe preferably 10?
- Start with shadowing and reading out loud. By March 9th, do talks with natives, at least twice a week
Don’t explode from embarassment
I’m stealing the calendar format I use from the listen every day challenge. I don’t really know what channels to stick with, so I’m just typing “Japanese shadowing practice” and picking what I think sounds nice

I FINALLY DID THE THING!!! Had a technically 30 min convo with two people on HelloTalk, but obviously I wasn’t talking the entire time. So I’ll just say like 20 mins.
Edit: I also did a talk with people at school! So I’ll add another 15 mins! I now have a better idea of what to work on, and I think I’ll practice talking to myself and doing the Japanesepod101 lessons. I’ll mark today as special for speaking with natives and doing more than 30 mins.

I want to focus on grammar based sentence shadowing, cause I keep mixing up my conjugations when I speak and I need to refresh the grammar that I’ve learned from Genki and Quartet 1.
