Shiki, shoku, discerning, employment, weave

L27 kanji, weave.
Just some of the fun things I need to remember. We have the Visually Similar Kanji script which helps listing the other two kanjis, thus also helping me to group them together. Usually the onyomi readin is the same or similar.

There are so many others, of course, but this is taken from my Wanikani lesson today.

Just intermezzo from me.

Thank you for sharing this. I still get them wrong most of the time in my reviews :durtle_tomato:

織 I can get right pretty easily because of the thread radical, but 職 and 識 trip me up every time. My brain associates employment more with speaking than listening, and being discerning more with listening than speaking… :sob:

I also see 耳 as a reception counter desk.

Not sure what to say about 言. Smart talker, displaying their discerning power, maybe?

Someone who KNOWs need to talk more.
An employee usually LISTEN to the boss.
That’s what I used. But I think the original mnemonics were so engraved into my head, these two kanjis are some of the ones I almost never forgot.
