Set number of lessons per day

It’d be nice to be able to set how many lessons per day you want to do.

Currently I’m given 15 per day, but I prefer to just do 5 to keep reviews manageable, so I have to start the 15 and then bail, and I never get to be “done” for the day (since 10 lessons remain).

It also leaves me wondering about the automatic lessons that are assigned: am I somehow botching the order of things by studying this way?

IIRC, you can reduce the number of the lesson per day by going to settings → app → Preferred lesson batch size. Usually the crab will suggest you 3x that number, so the least you can set is 9. However, i dont see any issue if you leave 10 behind and only do 5. Except its quite nagging to see the pink color in today lessons and if you want that super cool icon lol.

Automatic Lessons are a mix of Radicals, Kanji and Vocabs if you have all three, but i tend to have my own style for comfortability. For me, i tend to give a higher priority to the older level lesson. Vocabuary → Radical → Kanji . Vocab is the largest chunk of the lesson and level, so i want to have as much time to do that as much as possible. I tend to forget it more often than the Kanji or Radical so by doing it first, i wil have more time to do the reviews (extra reviews). I guess its just my style

Ahh I like your solution for 9 lessons, I think I can manage that. Didn’t realize at all that the two features were connected.

Thanks!

I kinda dont care about the todays lesson honestly. I just go with my own pace but i have a hard rule for myself. I do maximum of 6 per hour. More than that, i find myself forgetting it alot faster if i exceed this number especially the different reading for a kanji at the vocab level (one with hirakana attached that doesnt read like the kanji i learned). However, i do way less than that because of life. BUT i will complete the reviews every couple of hours or whenever possible. Sometimes i am busy, not in the mood, sleepy, etc… so i just wait until i am comfortable in doing it. With my (undiagnosed) ADHD, my daily active level fluctuates so yeah.

It somehow becomes a routine for me now so i just go with the flow at this point.

Well whatever works for all of us at the end. I am sure the crab wont mind xD If it does mind, then god help me lol
