I don’t know. Burning the last few leeches would take a very long time. Most likely I’ll just abandon WK once I’m done.
Amazingly, hitting zero for the first time after 1001 days wasn’t even the only coincidence today.
For a while now, I kept thinking about how I’d take a screenshot of the 0 reviews left image when I finally hit 0. However in an even more extreme coincidence, they just so happened to change the UI of the lesson/review counts this morning, the very same morning that I finally hit 0. And it’s not like they change it all the time either. IIRC, this is the first time they’ve changed it since 2020. I’d been staring at those same images for nearly four years!
Incidentally, I only had one single review come up again later. Maybe “true zero” is a lot closer than I thought. I was sorely tempted to just declare victory today, since with only 1 review left, it’s basically the same anyway, and doing it on day 1001 seems cooler.

It really is amazing how there’s exactly one failed apprentice item every day.
In case you’re curious about yesterday, that was different as there were already 14 long-term reviews that would come up for review after the morning review session either way. And the same is true of tomorrow, and will also be true of next Friday and Saturday if I’m still going then. But for every other day, it’s just a question of luck, whether I happen to miss any Apprentice items that morning or not. If I keep going, I assume I’ll eventually get lucky.

Anyway, today was the first day in nearly four years that I didn’t do any Wanikani (not counting days that I skipped due to being busy or on vacation). It’s still a bit weird to just wake away from WK completely just like that after so much time. Sometimes I think that I should stick around to try to burn the last few items, but that would take forever and not be very interesting. My previously decided stopping point was when I hit 0 reviews due at night, and that happened last night, so I guess this is it.
