I suddenly remembered that I needed to take a shower before work this morning and had to cut off WK early. It doesn’t help that I’ve been waking up a lot later again.
Ironically, I got the “mysterious” radical up to Apprentice 4 this morning, which means that it actually would make sense for me to skip a day tomorrow to wait for it to come up again. However, I don’t plan to intentionally skip any days like that from now on.

I made another graph showing the review count over the last six months. It’s interesting how you can see the big bumps when I went on vacation in early August and for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was curious about the bump in mid-September, since that didn’t correspond to any vacation, so I went back and checked my log. It looks like I injured my finger then had had to stop doing reviews for a while (plus I was too busy and/or frustrated to do reviews). It’s funny how you can completely forget about things like that which were a big deal at the time.
Previously, I had been typically burning over 20 items every day, but the last three days, I only burned 14 a day, and then today I only burned 10. Of course, I knew that that obviously couldn’t go on forever and sooner or later the supply of Enlightened items would run out and there would be fewer coming up for review, but I didn’t expect such an obvious change.

I reckon with over 1000 at enlightened, it’ll probably go up again - it may reflect a period of time when you didn’t get as many to that level. But I’m sure there have been days when you’ve got loads there recently.
Not really. There’s a reason it’s been going down so fast. Obviously, there will still be some burn reviews, but they’ll be a lot less common than they were for the last couple months.
Burned 18 items today, so maybe I spoke too soon. Still clearly less than before, but not as low as the previous four days.

The next small milestone you’re approaching is having Guru fall below 400 for the first time.
All of that is just numbers though. The real question is, after all of this time and progress, how confident are you in the material you’ve covered so far? Do you feel like your Japanese has improved from all of this effort? I would honestly be surprised if it had not!
