Reviewing breaks on iphone mini

Hi just to let you know, doing reviews on iphone 13 mini is pretty much impossible. When I open the kanji information view page rendering breaks and won’t recover without a page reload.

I’ve had no issues on ipad, so this issue presumably has something to do with the screen size.

Hey! Sorry to hear you’re running into this. Could you give us more information so we can investigate? What breaks exactly? Could you send screenshots? Are you still running into this issue?

I loaded the site on desktop inspector view that mimics the iPhone 13 mini, and nothing broke for me. That of course is not the same as running WK on the device, but in theory that means the CSS is set up to work on a screen that size. Something else could be breaking things though.

Finally, could you navigate to this site?

Then take a screenshot of what you see on that site. This will give us device and OS info we need as part of the investigation.

Here are the screenshots. At first I didn’t get the issue to repeat, but then it started to happen consistently.

Reproduction steps as far as I can tell:

  • Give a wrong answer.
  • Press the eye button while the on screen keyboard is visible.
    → After that it looks like Safari’s viewport rendering breaks as on the screenshot below. That small area more or less keeps working while the rest of the viewport is empty.

Some more questions for you:

Could you try doing reviews on other browsers (Chrome, Firefox) and see if the problem persists?

Since you said:

When did the problem become consistent?

Do you get this error when you give a correct answer and open More Info?

Since you said:

When you reload, this reloads the review quiz completely, right? Is this issue then resolved for all items for the rest of the review session?

And are you running any third-party scripts or have any browser extensions running?
