It took longer to read than usual since my brain wasn’t really braining today, but nevertheless I managed to get a fair chunk in. Hopefully I’ll have finished this volume by the end of next week and can start on the third.

January 4 - Read 1 more page in The Hobbit (~15 minutes), and read the first chapter in 名探偵コナン Volume 25. Unfortunately, today was my the last day of my winter holiday, and I have to start back to work tomorrow… 
Hopefully I can avoid having that derail my reading goals…

- Read weeks 2, 3, and 4 of ABBC’s selection for the season: Gal and Dino. Caught up!
- Made up for yesterday’s journal and wrote today’s entry as well. Read the Hobonichi QOTD for both and read back my posts.
- Also watched a 10 minute vlog and read the subtitles.

ハピネス第1巻を読み終えたよ!
Definitely struggled through this chapter a little (I’m gonna need a certain character to gain some confidence because the ellipses are killing me!)
I think I do want to continue this series, but I’ll probably take a break for something a little lighter first. I think ちいさな森のオオカミちゃん 1 will be my next read, and I’ll aim to finish both volumes since there are only 2!

- Read 4日目 and 5日目 of 小学生なら知っておきたい教養. The first part is about 回文 or sentences that read the same backwards as forwards. The second part was about つけた言葉 which I kinda get but need to look up for confirmation later.

Sooo glad to join this challenge! I have been trying to deep dive more through the holidays so the timing is perfect.
Currently playing ポケモンオメガルビー , first game ever full jp. Went with it because I played it 3 times already and I know the story and the mechanics already so I thought it would be a good starting point. I basically learnt English through it when I was 7… life goes in full circle I guess 
Also trying to catch up with ギャルと恐竜 since I saw the related topic and it feels good to begin with comics (longtime manga reader here)
