Anyway, finished my week 4 of ABBC and also read an NHK Easy article on 地震後の復興. May still try to read a bit more before bed, but I’m behind on new WK terms…

Welcome back! No problem. The style of posting is really however you’d like (home post +daily, only daily, weekly, only home post, etc.). The goal is just to read in Japanese every day that you can in January and February. There’s not really a way to “fail” the challenge since even one day with reading should count as partial success for the challenge

I played 英雄伝説 碧の軌跡. Again it’s time to do random tasks and events in town. The whole game feels like it’s filler content. I started the quest, where you hunt down the badass smuggler grandma.
I was given it as a Christmas gift this year! My Mom ordered it online from Kinokuniya USA. https://usa.kinokuniya.com/
1.5 hours of VN.

Back to work so potentially my last update on here. Good luck to everyone’s reading goals this year! Happy reading 
Home post. Reading 猫を処方いたします。Still on page 2! I don’t expect to finish this book by the end of the challenge, but hope to build a routine on reading.
This week will be a little busy to me, but trying to stick to the challenge even if I read a sentence or two! This books is really advanced for my level and I really struggled on the first page trying to decipher a Kyoto style address haha but still so rewarding when I understand a sentence!

4th January
finished chapter 31 of ふらいんぐうぃっち today. I think this is a nice pace for now, I don’t have to worry about reading the Manga I have to quickly that way, even though it’s kinda a irrational thought anyway since I can always just get more if I finish the ones I have.
Also still lots of books to read, but they are definitively a bit too much right now.
Last challenge I managed to read every day, but was bad at remembering to write updates, so this year I’m going to aim to update once a week on a Sunday instead of trying (and failing) to write daily updates!
Also I’m going to try using something more like DIO-Berry’s format for posts, but with a date column added, since it looks much nicer than my usual rambling notes

Must’ve read that book (in English) about 10 times when I was a teenager. Couldn’t bear to watch the movies. I think it’s smart to read a book in a foreign language when you already know the story. I know people who’ve read Harry Potter in various languages for that precise reason, the context. Inspiring to know a level 52 (plus your other studies) person can tackle that in Japanese. “A box without key, hinge or lid, inside which a golden treasure is hid.” 「この器のなか金があるよ！でも、えぇ？一体！ドアがない？どんなことですか？」Man I could be a translator myself
