I’ve been pretty hooked on reading since doing the Winter Readathon, so I want to take on this challenge and keep up the pace! I’ve learned that I do really well with a daily checklist so this is perfect. I also know that life happens sometimes, so I’m intentionally giving myself bigger reading projects (like reading manga mainly from past ABBCs) as well as the option to read something simpler (like NHK Easy or Tadoku readers).
I’ll likely refine my goals and improve this post as time goes on, but this will work for now to get started.

Hi, first time participating in anything like this. After few years of studying here and there and taking JLPT exams this is a superb opportunity to finally break the cycle and use the language for what I started to learn it in the first place 
.
I plan to start with Satori reader to build a bit of habit (and get some use out of the subscription 
). I also want to take some time to configure everything needed for reading of manga/novels comfortably and ultimately pick some to read.

I don’t really need these challenges to create a reading habit any more, but the last time I participated was the winter 2025 challenge, so I think I’ll join and see how my reading compares to a year before!
I will be focusing on my novel reads because it’s the #yearofthenovel but you never know, some manga might sneak in 
I get to go first because I’m in Australia 
I do not yet understand how to format my entries here so I’ll make it up and adjust as I go along. For now means my objective of 10 mins reading has been achieved. Hmm I’ll add in a streak 
and day count

Hello, lowkey forgotten the coding on how to make this post nice lol, been a few months.
Just finished Kaijuu no 8’s first manga book before the new year, and enjoyed it too much that I want to try this challenge (have failed many times in the past).
N4 level right now, trynna increase comprehension level to be able to read mangas I’ve always wanted to but can’t due to the difficulty (like neon genesis).

I plan to make some amount with Japanese in Jan-Feb. I would also log Chinese reading here.
- 3 books (probably book clubs first)
- 40 manga volumes
- 5 manga series of at least 2 volume each (hopefully Speed Run Book Club too)
Other things like the remaining of Aozora advent and games, and Chinese, might be counted by the numbers of days (out of 59), so I’ll record in this thread anyway. Audiobooks, even with reading, aren’t counted.
