- FINALLY finished day 1 of the trial for case 5. Gant is… pretty fun to read in Japanese actually, probably the easiest witness so far actually (really not looking forward to cross-examining the cowboy if that’s what happens, I honestly don’t remember). It’s really been so long since this case I actually don’t have any idea about the logic or twists anymore which is fun… and infuriating. I got stuck on a ‘puzzle’ which required me to press a statement, present evidence at a different statement, then go back and press the original statement again with no indication the result had changed…
- Wheel of random took me to フードコートで、また明日。 | L24?? which is a chill one-shot (I think it’s been serialised but I haven’t seen a vol 2 yet… and apparently there’s an anime inbound?). Funnily enough, it’s almost entirely casual-ish conversations, so it’s markedly more difficult than what I’ve been reading so far in my ‘chill slot’ even if nothing is really happening. But that’s kinda fun too.

Second chapter of Haruhi down, I am now 1/3 of the way through the first volume. Very slow going, sometimes only a single page per day, but progress nonetheless. At this rate, it will be May before I finish this volume. That’s fine - when I get there, I’ll celebrate having finally read a whole LN.

VN today - back to Aokana. I saw some vocab that I learned on my current level, and some that I’ll learn on the next few levels. Reading a VN where I can easily switch between Japanese and English is so much fun! I can read Japanese most of the time and switch to English and check my understanding when needed. Love it!

more progress on sherdock and sadly still in ecchi territory. read two chapters, the first was a pretty weak standalone comedy chapter, but entering a new case now so we’ll see how this goes. not putting it in the table but read the whole of vol 1 of noragami as prep to compare the jp to the eng translation. harder than i was expecting! still trucking on with psycho-pass too

Luckily I was not tired during today’s session because the current scene got much more challenging again.
According to my vocabulary list from the last time I read chapter 3, I’m roughly at 40-50% now. I’m likely to reach my initial goal of getting to chapter 4 by the “official” end (=end of February) of this winter challenge if I manage to keep it up.

- Very busy day yesterday but managed a few chapters of フードコート。Helps each chapter is only 10 pages or so, so easier to snack on.

So this week I’ve had a couple of nominal read days, but my travel days were good. I’ve caught up with most manga (or have a plan to do so), but I’ve done this at the expense of any book reading other than the grammar dictionary.
Technically my number of clubs has increased to 14, but several of these aren’t exactly active.
Plan from here - finish catching up manga (except probably leave ルックバック until next week, then tackle the books.
Dictionary wise, I’m almost up to date with the advanced dictionary, while not fully having finished the intermediate one.

I was still lazy and only read some pages Dーダーク・ロード 2―吸血鬼ハンター 11. It’s much harder than Konosuba but much more interesting.
