Yep! Usually it’s the post with the calendar template so you can click the boxes the days you’ve read. Some people also use their home post to like update a list of books they’ve finished during the challenge, etc.

Finished the first 4 chapters in Vol 6 of Bluelock. The last one was particularily nice to read, maybe only 3/4 look ups across twenty pages. 
FMA is a different story. Definitely been neglecting that due to it’s difficulty, but I’m falling behind a little with the club, so intending to just sit down and get through it today regardless.

NHK news, learned some nice words, and inspired by a book club I saw on here I’ve been reading the dictionary of basic japanese grammar, I do a couple of grammar points every day.
I tried to do it in the past but I would either stress about trying to remember every little nuance of every grammar point or stop doing it, so… it didn’t work out.
Now that I have a much better foundation of grammar and already know the basics hopefully it will go better. The example sentences are a nice way to practice some very quick reading and understanding evern if they are pretty basic for now of course. Still managed to learn the kanji for “soy bean” so I figure it will help.

Saturday 31 August
Have managed to read every day until yesterday when I broke my streak (big family reunion - just couldn’t find a free moment). But so far in this challenge have completed 壁の穴, Human Japanese Intermediate & am now working my way through “Sakura and Suzuki’s Long Distance Relationship” as well as Human Japanese Intermediate Extra. Hope to finish the first before the next reading challenge begins.

Today I had to choose between doing some more reading and making myself tamagoyaki + miso soup for lunch. Food won!
Thus ends my participation in the summer reading challenge for this year. I managed to read every day up to and including the first day of school! I also read through 3 volumes of よつばと！ (although I still have to re-read the third volume with vocabulary lookups). So I’m pretty satisfied with how I did. Next year I will end my commitment the day before school starts, because 1. let’s be real, and 2. I already have plenty of stress in my life and I don’t need my fun to be stressful too.
Good luck to those of you who will be pursuing the challenge through September! It’s been fun hanging out with you and I’ve made myself a good list of future readings based on your reports.
