I increased my reading from 2 to 4 articles of NHK Easy (published on the same day). In addition, I read 2 episodes of Satori every day (sometimes more).

That was a long chapter. I read half of it before going to work. Switching between reading on phone and on pc is smooth, but tracking lookups is a bit of a bother. Easier when it’s just pc.

Today I read the final chapter and omake of Volume 1 of 桜井さんは気づいてほしい
It was an ok read, though too fan-servicey for me 
I might read more of the series in future when I need a quick easy read while travelling or something like that.

))It’s been a busy summer, so I’m pretty pleased with myself for managing to stay consistent. I’m doing a reasonably good job of balancing reading some hard stuff to improve my reading ability, as well as stuff thats simple enough for me to read for pleasure.
As usual, I’ll be carrying on with reading through the off month, because this is such a part of my daily routine now that not doing it would feel as unnatural as taking a month long holiday from brushing my teeth or something 
Thanks as always to @DIO-Berry for organizing the thread, and also to all the people who post, read and cheerlead for each other. It’s so much easier to stay motivated when you are surrounded by such a lovely community.

I finished 玉藻の恋 today, making it the 4th book I finished for this challenge! Yay! I’ll definitely try to keep up the daily(-ish) reading habit after this, it’s been fun. Congrats to everyone participating and best of luck to those continuing the challenge!

Today is the last day of the official challenge. I’ve not missed a single day since last year September so now I have a 1-year reading streak! 
Now I have two achievements to start September with. Perhaps, it will take a bit of the sting out of having to go back to work? 
I only read one and a half volumes of manga for this challenge- half of 俺物語 ２ and 私がモテないのはどう考えてもお前らが悪！３. I took a slow pace this July/August vacation because I was on vacation and had many other things I wanted to be doing. I had an overseas family trip in the middle of July. I also discovered a new site to read webnovels on so I had limited space to focus on reading Japanese. However, I didn’t lose my streak! Good things must be said twice! I didn’t lose my streak!
School starts on Monday and it’s back to work for me. However, I hope it’s a nice day because it’s also my birthday! I’m heading a little further into the 30’s. It’s a nice feeling growing older.
I will be continuing to read during September. It’s a habit by now and also, I want to see how long I can keep the streak going.

Overall have done pretty well this week while travelling - worst day was when I’d arrived in Mongolia the previous night, and spent the day wandering around the city. I’m on a tour now but generally time to read in the evenings, and last week I’d actually read ahead in a couple of clubs.
I’ve finished こぐまのクーク which now gets me down to 8 clubs! Now I just need to finish off a couple more (that I’m behind on and have finished) before my next clubs also start.

Managed to just sit down on Friday and Saturday morning and complete the week 4 reading for FMA. It got a little easier but overall I found that chapter really difficult.
I also completed another chapter of Bluelock, and got through a few more pages of すみっコぐらし
I’ve realised I don’t think I’m good at spreading my attention thin across too many resources, as I’m seeing so many new words from all of them it’s getting a bit overwhelming. So I’ve decided to focus on two and just work through them steadily.
I’m going to put a pause on the Bluelock LN and FMA for now, and come back to them once すみっコぐら and Bluelock Vol 6 are complete.
I’m also going to try moving away from this need to put everything in Anki, as the reviews can get too much. So instead I’m chucking new words into a spreadsheet similar to the bookclubs here, and I can review as needed. If something keeps coming up repeatedly across several books and I’m not remembering it, then I’ll put it in Anki.

Today I read the second half of chapter 6 of ウスズミの果て - this chapter was weirdly difficult in comparison to the rest of the chapters so reading it was a bit of a slog… but I got there in the end

At least I managed to read a decent amount on the final day of the month! It definitely helped that the book is pretty smooth going due to relatively straightforward vocabulary. Actually, マスカレード・ホテル is also fairly straightforward by advanced book club standards, so I found it relatively easy when I started it a few days ago.
Over the last two months, I’ve finished 8 books (鹿の王３，鹿の王４，このすば７，本好きの下剋上２、月の影影の海 上・下、史上最強の哲学入門、光の帝国）, and read over 2000 pages (~1270 in July, ~750 in August).
I will probably read less in terms of book pages this month, as there are a few VNs I’d like to finish (fate/ stay night and higurashi, which are both rather substantial), as well as several video games. I’ll still be keeping up with book clubs though, as it’s a nice low level amount of commitment. I’m also planning to get more physical copies of 十二国記 books whenever I order a copy of 界の軌跡, as they were my favourites of the books I read over these past 2 months。
Oh, and I definitely will be planning to catch up with the 空の軌跡 book club in the next couple of weeks! (I’m many many weeks behind).

September 1st, 5 months of reading every day! The one thing that I have learned from the last 5 months is that I love to read VNs. I’m so grateful for @Akashelia and the others in the Island VN club! I don’t think I would have been able to read that consistently without the club and this challenge.
Today, also VNs! A half chapter from Loopers and a half chapter from Everlasting Flowers.
