Today I started reading 鋼の錬金術師 with the IMC, and read this weeks assignment, which was about half of the first chapter.
I actually read the first chapter a long time ago and then dropped it as it was far too difficult for me at the time - so here’s hoping that I’ve improved enough to handle it this time! 
I also read Chapter 4 of 玉藻の恋 today.

Not much today, just a couple pages of Orange and a couple of pages on the japanese Pokémon wiki… Mined quite a bit of vocab from the latter though
Continuing with my daily episode of 壁の穴 & daily Human Japanese Intermediate Chapter. Bought the latter for review purposes but then…didn’t use it. So - thanks to this challenge - I’m rocketing through it.
The app is created by the same people who put out Satori Reader. And just like Satori Reader, the grammar explanations are succinct, humorous and culturally relevant. When I’m reading it, I reflect on the value of having someone who is a native speaker in your own language, sharing their understanding of a foreign language in terms of your own. Having struggled with that other language, they often have some very good tips and insights. It reminds me that while native speaker teachers are usually the best option when learning another language, occasionally a non-native speaker teacher can really see the nuts and bolts of the other language.

A bit of ちいさな森のオオカミちゃん 2 and 玉藻の恋 last week, getting close to the end of both of them! The week before last I forgot to write an entry, I was mostly just doing a panel or two a day or short Pixiv comics that week. It was busy! But now that I have more time, I can actually get through some chapters! Yay!
I’m hoping to read some more ルリドラゴン this week, but I think I’ll try to finish off オオカミちゃん2 first!

Club reading day so I caught up with ABBC and Shirokuma. Usuzumi will have to be tomorrow. Rereading Goosebumps ch. 9 with lookups, longer chapter at 12 pages so I read about half.
No sleep cause I had an early appointment, but I still read a solid 8000 or something characters in Umineko, and last night on a whim I started a book I have on hand, おいしいごはんが食べられますように. Just did a little as a test last night, a few thousand characters maybe? Today I added on enough to get 13k in, which is already 20% because it’s a rather short book. Could’ve done a lot more if I wasn’t so sleepy, but it’s not too hard to read now which is great because I briefly tried it in the past and found the untagged dialog and slightly rambley narration confusing, so that’s progress. The book isn’t exactly hard, vocab is very simple, but it likes to not just present untagged dialog, but spend time musing on what someone said or maybe hypothetically what they might say, in a way that you really need to have firm clarity on what little grammar bits are contributing or you’ll get lost.
Today: finished Chap. 26 of よつばと！ Vol. 4. This chapter was quick and easy. Just one more chapter to go!

Oof, not much reading for the last couple of days, unfortunately. Some of the stuff I read last month were more page-turners that engrossed me so I ended up reading massive amounts per day. I also played a decent bit more of 黎の軌跡II and a bit of fate/stay night. I’m travelling soon so that will either mean significantly more or significantly less reading, we’ll see… [last time I was on a flight I did a lot of reading, but this time I’m flying internationally overnight so the objective is to try to sleep, but there’s a good chance I’ll fail miserably at doing so]
