Had the day off today, and did a bunch of chores and the like throughout, but managed to sneak in a few reading sessions and finish this series!!! よかった！
To be honest, the ending was a little anticlimactic?? I feel like this is the kind of story that would feel really nice to read if I’d played the original game this was based on. Still, it was a fun read that challenged me in some new ways so I have no regrets.
Now it’s time for my least favorite game of what to read next… It’s probably going to be 徒然日和２, but we’ll see how I feel tomorrow.
Those are honestly the best parts! I was a little disappointed when I got to the arc you mentioned, tbh. Came around to it as it progressed, of course.
Reading-wise – certainly a better day.
Not only did I manage to read the obligatory ケロロ軍曹 chapter, but also two chapters of 蜘蛛ですが、なにか？and also played some FF XIV.
FF8 - okay, technically I did play for a couple of hours and do a little bit of reading, but it was probably no more than about 15 minutes or so. The rest of the time I was running around spreading triple triad rules and playing cards.

I took a short break since I felt pretty washed out, but I feel better after resting up so I can get back to novel reading! Didn’t do any novel reading yesterday but I have been engaging in conversations in the chat sections of japanese vtuber livestreams which has been really good fun, I’ve had a few lovely chats with native Japanese speakers that way and it makes me happy being able to communicate with them in a small way like that
Finished book! Seems like this is/was a best seller, tho it took some time for it to reach its popularity. Released right as the pandemic started, all businesses closed down, so book sales were affected. Eventually people in the book industry cheered for the book and it won a prize in the end.
It was interesting, full of twists and turns. Makes you think. Heavy topic, not for everyone to read.
And… I’m back! I hate to say this, but I was travelling the last two days, and I couldn’t properly settle to read. I did read some NHK easy news, but I don’t want to categorize then as “proper” reading sessions. Unfortunately, that also means that I didn’t read anything yesterday nor the day before
On the bright side, today I read a few pages of ムーミン谷の彗星. Not enough to catch up to the book club, but I’ll work towards that tomorrow.
busy day today, lunch with family and then a lot of baking. had some of the best ramen I’ve ever had (including in Japan) for lunch?? Managed to read a decent amount too!

Reading in Japanese is reading in Japanese. I’d count reading news. In fact, I plan to count news articles if I can’t manage to read anything else that day.
