I love how I learn a new kanji and then see it right away in my reading. I’m also wondering if I was too tough on Tadoku. Maybe I should give those another go.

About 20 minutes spent reading バター. Until I get a physical copy I have no idea how much I’m getting through (probably less than one page right now)
New phrases/words: 20
Joining late, going to try to use this as a way to get through some physical manga.
Hopefully, if not, at least I’ll try to pull up something to read.

Just a bit Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It was time to travel to Nibelheim. I love the scenery here lots of mountains, which we probably can climb. Like always I do some side content first and then follow the main story.
Day 3
FF8 - a couple more hours of story content (breakdown below!) but my timings aren’t very exact due to running around playing triple triad and that sort of thing 
I did intend to read more Witch Hat Atelier, but the time I set aside to read it was when my tiredness hit 
FF8 Progress
After meeting the Forest Owls resistance team and getting Squall re-acquainted with Rinoa, we had the mission briefing for the train carriage heist!
I don’t really like timed sequences in games, but I’ve done this a billion times and it’s very forgiving.
Wrapping up the heist and after the resulting boss fight, the team finds out that Galbadia is due to make the first broadcast to the world in 17 years. We rush towards Timber TV Station where we encounter Seifer making a stupid decision, and also sorceress Edea for the first time, who leaves with Seifer.
After all the commotion, we catch a train towards Galbadia Garden. I got distracted here and went to Dollet instead to start doing some Triple Triad related stuff. I then ran into the forest where the team were knocked out into Laguna flashback number 2!
I played through this sequence of events where Laguna and co. barely escape from pursuing Esther soldiers with their lives… (losing a couple of keys and tampering with loose hatch mechanisms and boulders on the way)! And that’s where I stopped for the day.
Once again, didn’t manage to do a lot of reading… But did enough reading for the day not to be wasted!

Felt like a break, so just some easy no-lookup Yotsuba today. Sometimes you can’t understand what she’s saying but I figured that was OK since it seems like a lot of the time the adults can’t figure out what she’s saying either.
Damn I completely forgot them after I moved away from twitter. I wonder if they have an account or a bot yet.
/edit oh i forgot they almost exclusively link to amazon deals and these days I mostly buy on bwalker…
Yeah I’d rather buy on Bookwalker too so the Amazon focus is a bit of a bummer. If you know of any other yuri-centric sites let me know! I’m trying to avoid twitter as much as possible but unfortunately it seems a lot of the conversation happens on there…

Ugh, I remember how difficult the Flazzard battle in Infinity Strash was. Sorry, Dai, that you’ve got an incompetent person controlling you… I did get stuck on it for a bit before finally beating it, only to get stuck again soon enough by the Baran fight (which, incidentally, I think was about as far as I got in the anime? I know I got further than that, but I don’t think it was by much, though I guess we’ll see), which I couldn’t beat no matter how I tried. And I was higher than the recommended level!

Yeah, the reason he’s uncomfortable is that he and his forces are the reason Papnica is in ruins, but he looks so cute somehow. I wanna try doing a redraw…
(I grabbed a screenshot from a scanlation rather than try to get a pic with my phone in the poor lighting. I think the overall chapter was like 72? idk, I just remember my guess was off by 2.)
Anyway, finished vol 5!

WELL, I can say for sure that I didn’t expect to do three readathons week after week, but third time’s the charm?! Been a fun day 
In Frieren, I started almost at the beginning of the 一級魔法使い試験 arc and decided mid reading that I would try reach the end of the arc yesterday—which I did. I think that’s pretty much where season 1 of the anime ends. I hope we’re now getting some of those one chapter one story-kinda chapters again which I really love about Frieren
The day after the WK readathon, I read the first volume of the Persona 3 manga which had been collecting dust on my shelf for some years now. Unexpectedly, I had really fallen in love with the artstyle and fast pacing of the manga, so I was looking forward to reading volume 2. This has been another banger and I really want to read the other books, too. The problem is just that I only have the first two volumes and it seems to be out of print 
So I might have to try one of those Japan proxy services at some point to get the books used
In Apothecary Diaries, I read chapter 10. Finally a chapter that has an image 
That boosts my page numbers a little bit lol
This morning, I did a little bit of reading and finished 家が好きな人. I can just repeat myself in how cozy this book feels 
Saw a familiar face there 
Mini readathon was fun! Read 62 pages, which is 1/3 of my page count from the first round of readathon. Not bad for a sudden spontaneous mini-run, hehe.
