The line work on these scrolls is crazy detailed, the colouring is very light, very washed out looking; the linework fills in all the detail instead. I could have read a bit more but I spent ages going over all the little details.
i suppose… i just wanted to be able to actually do every day of a challenge xD;;
my books haven’t arrived yet, but they should be here before june
and there’s definitely more than enough to last four months, so i guess i’ll start whenever they get here and just have to deal with it, lol
Chapter of 四ツ子. Not too many word lookups, so just need to improve on speed and understanding (lol).
Two chapters to finish off つきみ. Fun series, though just that liiiittle bit more difficult than I would like, but still something I will probably grab if it goes on sale and I have the opportunity.
Read:
・41 pages of 不機嫌な青春, finishing the volume!
・18 pages of 風が強く吹いている, reading into ch 1 and leaving off on pg 29
・ROBOT × LASERBEAM 57th~Final (62nd) round
The last story in 不機嫌な青春 was so good. I guess I’m keeping the volume? I did like half the stories, which are over half of it, page-wise. (Also if I ignore the first and last chapters of the first story, then that one’s good, too. Though I still definitely think she should’ve just let it be gay.)
I remembered かぜつよ was over 600 pages long, but I forgot it was over 650. Nice. (I like big books and I cannot lie.) (Tho ofc, being a 文庫本, dimension-wise it’s still pretty tiny.)
I’m glad they went with “Run With the Wind” for the anime’s EN title
I’m sorry, but I cannot take “It’s blowing hard” seriously
I knew Fujimaki-sensei wasn’t given many chapters to wrap up R×L when it was axed, but he managed to pull off a good/satisfying ending even so, even with being right in the middle of a tournament. It was a pretty good series overall. Not sure if I wanna continue 黒バス after this or start Grand Slam… (or something else entirely)
I was so excited to see he was called that in English, even if another character’s reaction was “that’s not his name!” I mean, he’s half Scottish, and 呂羽人 is clearly 当て字 for something, and not a Japanese name/word. I’m pretty sure it is ‘Robert’ but made to sound more Japanese/less foreign. (If I ever write fic for this series, I’m having him go by Robert in English. Although I’d probably still call him Robato in the narrative regardless of where they are/what language they’re speaking.)
Played:
・聖剣伝説3 Trials of Mana (12:32⇒13:23)
・あつまれ どうぶつの森
was busy with other things today so only did a little bit of 風 and didn’t read any manga. 風 was mostly competition explanation stuff so it took me longer anyway.
Perfectly acceptable reading numbers that are simultaneously not breaking any records. I also did a lot of N2 past papers/study today, which is actually having a material effect on my motivation to consume Japanese in free time. Plus marking 160 test papers probably left me exhausted.
Tomorrow through weekend will try to actually pick up these numbers. First, I will try to make myself read some LN before bed (will add to tomorrow’s numbers if I do)
It’s also been staring at me from my shelf for about 5 months ago, the writing in the intro was just a bit too dense and the book far too long last time I tried. Maybe soon it’s time for another reattempt. It’s just so long…
another page 三まいのおふだ はじめての世界名作えほん | L12. I feel the need to specify I am actually reading properly, because it isn’t a lot. But I’m still looking at like くわれてしまう and working out that it started as 喰う and then how it got from there to here.
