i’ve just about crossed the halfway mark in masquerade and almost through with this little arc. it was the one that made the least sense to me when i watched the film so i’ll be glad to be done with it 
having said that it’s interesting to note the differences. randomiser spat out kimi ni todoke, which i only have one volume of. pretty sure i picked it up on sale at least a year ago but at least i’m finally reading it! i forgot how wordy shoujo manga can be.

Finished Volume 3 now! Maybe slowing down now, but still love how the story goes so far. Great practice too, even though I may be rushing it a bit.
Favorite Word today:
葉酸 ・ ようさん ・ folic acid
Kinda like this one since I didn’t know that folic acid appears mostly in leafy greens, but after looking it up it makes total sense to name it ‘leaf acid’. Also folic apparently comes from ‘folium’ which also means leaf!

Finally I finish book. It was better than the previous volume, 4/5 stars.
Sometimes I find it hard to rate books because in my mind I can rate a book two ways: 1) by how much I enjoyed it, and 2) by how much I would recommend it to others. Maybe I’m thinking too much about it. Like, take this series I’ve been reading as an example. Reading it feels like watching an anime, to a ridiculous level. I’m enjoying some parts of it while other parts is making me shake my head. If you take the series too seriously, the books are trashy, even. It’s not a series I would recommend to all and everyone. In that regard I’d rate the series 2.5/5. But for my own enjoyment I rate it 4/5 (only the previous volume I gave 3/5).

Almost 7000 characters of SeaBed today. It’s such a beautiful VN! I’m just getting started but I really like it so far. It’s not voiced so it’s all reading plus beautiful graphics and music/sound effects. It feels more like reading a book than the VNs I have previously read. Good reading practice!

Loaded up BGIII to find I’d changed the language a while back (several others too). Had some fun deciphering menus and spell descriptions. I’m happy I was able to guess 爆発, despite not knowing the kanji, from remembering having heard the word and then the context of what the spell did.

Sometimes I set a 30 min alarm and throw everything away from me physically so I can just read for that time. I’ve tried to make one area of my room my reading area as well in my head, when I sit down there, I read. Didn’t work yesterday though…

正直五兵衛 on Tadoku. Should have been super easy, but I still got stumped a few times. New kanji: 褒.
