I met up with an old coworker for coffee/lunch, so I didn’t start doing any reading till this evening, but I have begun!
I know that よつばと！ gets a fair number of recommendations for beginners, but I did not anticipate how funny I would find it. Maybe the fact that I teach kids is part of it but I’m just so entertained, I have been laughing out loud at some parts.
I also read a couple of NHK Easy articles, faster than I would have predicted which was a nice surprise.
And I finally installed Yomitan, which wasn’t super necessary for NHK Easy, but felt like another little comittment to reading more in Japanese. You don’t install a quick and easy way to do look ups unless you’re anticipating needing it after all.
