As someone who finished studying 10 years ago, I definitely think it’s the opposite when I was studying, I was always either studying, or feeling guilty that I wasn’t but since I started working, when I get home from work, then it’s completely free time (spoiler alert: having children was the real bye bye free time )
Skimmed through Honzuki 13 and the end of 12. I’m starting to remember plot and characters. These books are really fun, especially this arc. Highly recommend!
You’re not alone in feeling guilty for not spending time studying!
My third year was way more practical and clinical rather than theoretic like the first and second years, so studying at the library this year has gone way down. Gave me more free time. The reason I feel like work is going to eat my free time is because I feel like internship was the most intense in terms of workload and it’s kinda scary because it’s very similar to how I think work really is going to be. There are definitely pathologies etc. that will come up that I want to study on my own. …I’m going to have to learn how to leave work at work, don’t I? Mmm, dou deshou…
Today was time for this week’s entry in the IBC. It went a bit faster than usual, I think because this was a very dialogue heavy chapter, so despite the higher page count than usual, it’s actually less characters, which seems borne out by the ttsu percentage count being lower too
studying what you want when working is not a problem, but studying with children is an enormous challenge. My daughter is an adult now so I’m once again free to study.
I met a new character in Little Witch in the Woods today. They seem to speak in non-sequiturs. The good news is that I picked up on the pattern they speak in immediately, and my character also is confused.
I also learned how to upgrade items today. It’s very expensive, so I think that means lots more playtime…

Chapter 3 of 葬送のフリーレン.
The BBC assignment for this week was only the first half of the chapter, but I like to read in full chapters when I have the stamina for it.
Finished Chapter 6 of また、同じ夢を見ていた. I might start Chapter 7 later today. Studied 6 DoBJG entries today, since I didn’t touch it for the last 2 days and I was almost running out of new Anki cards (I only unsuspend them after I’ve studied the respective entries).

It’s an important skill to learn, but don’t stress too much if in the beginning it’s difficult or even impossible. I’m not sure which kind of work you will be doing, but expectations differ between jobs and countries, so it may or may not be possible to completely leave work at work. In my case, for example, it’s expected that some parts of the job will be done at home (such as preparing presentations, working in academic papers, and generally keeping myself up to date), so unfortunately work eats up some of my “free” time. What I think helps is clearly defining when you are working and when you are not, otherwise, you might constantly feel guilty for not working.
Work was tough this week, so I didn’t have energy to read even on the weekend.
I read exclusively Flying witch (8) as the easiest one.

I don’t know exactly the time but that took between two to three hours!
Yes getting closer but not sure exactly how close… I think somewhere between 50k and 100k left still
Re-reading book 14 of Honzuki was even better than book 13, there were more parts I wanted to read fully rather than just skimming through, so here we are still awake at 1 am.
