I’ve been exploring to see what extra content there is in the Honzuki universe. Turns out there are quite a few side stories and stuff from the official fanbooks. I ended up buying the most recent fanbook 9, because of certain rumours. Read a tiny bit from it, but it’s getting late and I keep dozing off. I’ve also read the most recent side story on syosetu.
(I like syosetu for how much more customizable the site is compared to bookwalker horrible web reader. Dark mode

December 3: Read the first volume of 蟲師, which has been a huge goal. Got to about a half before I’ve decided that it was it for the day. I’ll continue reading it throughout the advent calendar challenge I’m doing.
December 4: ロジカとラッカセイ 2 for the advent calendar + caught up with the CCS club by total accident. I thought it was already over, but then I took a look and it still had exactly a week to go~ nice. I will actually finish a manga together with a club this time. Fun.
December 5: Read 妹の友達が何考えてるのかわからない here. Opinion here.
December 6: Finished volume 2 of 二十と成獣, it had one really lovely scene that made it worth reading, though I’d rate this volume a little lower than the previous one.

Today I’ve read from the Fanbook 9 I bought yesterday. Original side story and notes from the making of the drama cd 10. There were a lot Q&A about lots of different things, so I ended up skimming some of it partway through. When I say a lot, I thought it would never end. Makes me wonder how the author even remembers or keeps track of everything.
Also found my way to the Honzuki webnovel and read a few chapters from arc 5. Even though I just finished the light novel series, I feel like there is still more left to explore. Not that the web novel is that different from the published books.

I’ve been recovering from being sick while back at work, so just plodding my way through.
I’ve kept up with all the manga clubs, and I’m catching up with 妊娠のカレンダー, but not so much with 本の読み方.
Plan is to keep reading a few pages a day, then aim to catch up when I go on holiday again next Wednesday. I have some long flights so plenty of readin time!

I also read 2 pages of the Orange Light Novel - I’m still really hoping to have it finished by the end of the year.
I have about 20 pages left, so its possible as long as I don’t slack off!

Today I continued the random manga series from yesterday: 傷モノの花嫁 vol. 2-5.
I like the art style. And when you think there’s a typical shoujo manga cliché going on, there’s a deeper explanation or reason given later. It was very entertaining. Full furigana, except for the novel style extra side stories at the end of each volume (mixed with manga panels. Good concept 
)
I like the main character. She’s traumatized, but not a weak Cinderella who can’t stand up for herself (eventually). And she’s super cute. This story reminds me of わたしの幸せな結婚, another story I like. If you like one, you’ll probably enjoy the other too.
Vol. 6 comes out at the end of January 2025.

No Yotsuba recently, but the other day, I got to the penultimate chapter of volume 3. I have roughly 3 more weeks to meet those manga reading goals.
Today: Pokemon Scarlet. I can get through pretty well? Other than those moments in which text automatically moves forward in a battle or scene. I am not fast enough reading everything, even with the slowest option for text lol.

Only did one easy graded reader a day because I was focused on finishing my commission this week, among other things. Tomorrow will be my last day for this challenge! 
I will post my final “review” then. I really enjoyed taking part in these challenges and will take part in future ones!

December 7: Today’s advent manga was 君に殺されたい. I’m torn whether I want to read another volume or not… I must say that the way it ended certainly intrigued me (in a cheap way) to continue for at least one more volume hmmm…
December 8: Today’s advent manga was 空をまとって. The art here is so pretty… but I can’t help but get a little uncomfy by the subtle “maybe it’s ecchi” vibes. It’s just what sort of things the characters focus on… I haven’t finished the whole volume, so I’ll be continuing in the upcoming days.
December 9: I’ve read chapter 1 of 三ツ星カラーズ for the manga advent and I’m planning to read at least one more chapter to not create too much of a backlog for myself. Also read 君と綴るうたかた for the natively bookclub.

Back to Honzuki. Complaint: I really, really want there to be more of where the main series left off. Honestly felt like the end of one arc and at the same time the start of another. I want that.
