Day 22: I wanted to dedicate more time this week to manga I’ve been neglecting, so I read a bit in 潜熱… 
… I can relate to the stupid protagonist and I hate it.

It’s such a rollercoaster so far 
… like, there’s for sure not going to be a good ending… but I will still cry my eyes out or something, I feel like.
Really didn’t have any motivation to read today because I’m feeling really sick, but ultimately thanks to the challenge, I read a few pages

- Enjoying 元かれの猫. I think it’s a bit too high for an entirely comfortable read right now, but I’m trucking along and that’s what matters. Will have to reread it in the future probably to really get it I think, it’s not like the kid’s books where I understand it mostly (once I get through the lookups).
- Started 山田くんLvl999. Definitely a step down in complexity after こういうがいい and 元かれの猫, not that I’m complaining, especially after having watched the anime. But I could go for some easy reading right now (and didn’t feel like continuing with 焼いてる二人 right now)

23rd october 
two more chapters of 3月のライオン in vol 5 now! lots of looking up, of festivals and food and tohoku-ben. hotel dusk continues, it feels like the puzzles could be solved much easier than the game wants sometimes. like, if you want to get a bookmark out of a cardboard box, then surely it’s easier to disassemble the box than whack it until it comes out? i am having fun tho

And today I finished up Frieren volume 6 of the manga. It actually finishes just short of where season 1 of the anime finishes We don’t get to see the outcome of Fern’s interview, or Frieren/Himmel’s thoughts on goodbyes, and it seems the Stark/Fern/Denken dinner might be anime original? but it’s close enough synced up that I’m going to pause here on the Frieren manga also. My hectic few weeks have cleared up, so from tomorrow I’m going to try do a beeline on 本好き volume 3.

ughh I’ve been so lax about writing updates even though I’m reading 
I finally made it to the pivotal aspect of the entire Conan series, which has gotten very exciting with all the mystery. And Black Butler’s language can be quite difficult! But I’m enjoying the shenanigans so far.

- More 元かれの猫. Trying to get more used to this cat’s 関西弁. It is funny how much you, or at least I, can sort of ‘intuit’ without looking stuff up just by reading the context of the situation… but it’s still confusing. わからへんやね
- Rolling along with 山田LVL９９９. Still relieving to have an easy read where I only have to look up a word or phrase every couple of pages instead of multiple ones per page…

two more chapters of 3月のライオン in vol 5 now! the easiest chapters in a while, which says a lot when one was a noguchi chapter. another chapter of hotel dusk, in which there was a second staircase and game over man struck again
