Today in my “100 things you don’t know about Japan and Japanese people” book, I learned about サザエさん.
Looked it up here on the WK community to see if someone here knew about it and found a quote from you @Redglare:

So… It’s my 4th manga in japanese this year 
Executing Mokuro to read the next volume soon^^ The evolution of the characters is good, I’m curious to see what happens next, now 
Since yesterday, I’ve begun chapter 2 of 
薬屋のひとりごと volume 11. Hopefully I’ll read a little bit more tonight.

I’ve missed this series, it’s so easy to read without wanting a break.
I wrote this as a joke, but turns out Kiyoka’s backstory takes up a substantial part of the book, haha. We’ve yet to see Miyo.
Edit: I forgot to mention while reading Kusuriya no hitorigoto 11, there was finally another of those gairaigo furigana kanji words at the end of the book. This series is full of those, but it’s been a while since the previous one, so it was fun to one again.

Double entry for today. I took my Steam deck with me for my trip away and got some Persona 3 Reload in. Today meanwhile, I finished up the manga portion of 本好きの下剋上５ leaving just the short story portion to go through for this volume.
Hi everyone, I’m hoping some of you may help me with this page. I’m reading しろくまカフェ、bis 1. I’ve combed through the reading club material and while I understand the words, I am not understanding what Panda-san is trying to say here? For context: He just told Shirokuma-san that he is on a diet and not eating sugar.
無党派 (むとうは) - political independent / independent voter
武闘 (ぶとう) - armed struggle
未踏 (みとう) - unexplored
踏破 (とうは) - traveling on foot
破 (は) - not sure what this means behind all the above words.
Is he saying these are the struggles of going sugar-free? Please help 
I’m kind of thinking this is a play on words about something Thank you!
Just sound play of 無糖派? Maybe it is hard to understand when spoken?
The last word is 未～ + 踏破. Otherwise, most other words are ～派.

It’s a recurring joke form in this series, so you’ll see this sort of set-up and layout quite a bit. It’s just using a bunch of words that sound similar. If the panels seem kinda non sequitur, it’s because they are They aren’t the particular struggles of going sugar free or anything

This week: continued to read every day; read 2 chapters of 夜カフェ (11 and 12), so more or less the same amount as last week. I’m feeling like reading some manga again, but I’ll probably finish this book next week befone getting started on something else.

I’m going slowly but I feel like I understand most of it despite my low level (I can even laugh at some of Maomao thoughts, so I think it’s a good sign ^^)
