I read the NHK news article about the seals! It was fun to read, so thanks for the mentions here 
I also read the article on the earthquake. I didnโt understand everything but well enough to get the context. I also listened to the reading of both articles as part of the winter listening challenge.

Not much read today but still managed to go through 1 NHK article, this one about makeshift toilets to use when thereโs no water due to the earthquake. Thank goodness for the picture explaining it, that helped to understand more of the text.
