I can’t believe we’re already to the last full week of October! Has this month been flying by for anyone else?
I spent all the weekdays reading for the LGBTQ+ Book Club, and finished the first section for はなものがたり１ on Friday. I share more of my thoughts over there, but tl;dr it’s very sweet so far and I’m really enjoying it! The Kansai-ben is a challenge (as is reading with little furigana), but I’m enjoying those challenges, too. I’m finding that it still doesn’t take me that long to get through a good number of pages, even with lookups, although I think that’s because I’m willing to move on without 100% comprehension.
I had a very chill weekend and read 絵描き魔女 posts on Saturday and Sunday. I learned through one post that コスモス are also called 秋桜、which I thought was so poetic and lovely. Googling for more info got me a nice song.
