I finally got to 0. 0 REVIEWS!
YAAAY.
Got another 100 waiting for me tomorrow, BUT the pile has shrunk down to manageable sizes, as long as I keep it up now.
I’ll keep doing my reviews daily, start doing new lessons in January, when all the holiday craziness is over.
Currently at 103 apprentice, not too shabby considering I had 100 yesterday and did over 280 reviews today. 259 guru. Things are going smoothly.
I have 171 lessons waiting for me. I’m not reordering anything. Just doing them as they come.
Good luck to anyone still tackling all the reviews! You can do it!

Ah so it looks like I’m not gonna make it.
I just cleared level 9 and looking back I started almost exactly 3 months ago to the day.
That’s an average of three levels a month. Extrapolate that out and it’s gonna take 20 months to get to 60.
Not sure why my page is so slow. I’m doing reviews to zero every day and lessons as soon as they come up…
Oh well, maybe JLPT1 in 2021
I tend to go from 0 lessons to 150 or whatever number of lessons when I level up. Do you study all 150 together??
Also always keep in mind how the system works: only kanji matter for leveling up (and indirectly radicals as well, since you can’t unlock the kanji without them). What I’m saying is get rid of all the radicals as soon as you level up, and of all the kanji as soon as the second kanji wave comes (the one previously locked due to the radicals).
You can use a reorder script (like this: WaniKani Lesson Ordering II) (WaniKani Lesson Ordering II (obsolete, does not work))

What percentage of the reviews are you getting correct? If low percent that may explain why you’re slower to level up.
It’s always 90% or higher. I’m not sure how that compares to others
Hey, I’m fairly new to all this and a little bit late to the party but can I join still? My goal is still lvl 60
even if I don’t make it in time for December. I’m still okay with that xD I just want to learn as much as I can and give it my best!

Levelled up to level 9 - 7 days and 5 hours. Have to figure out how to edit the table as I’m way out of date!

I suggest not to go full speed even at the start when its still doable.
You’ll eventually get to a point where it’s no longer doable, and then the reviews will pile up way too fast.
If you find you have more time to spend, spend it on things like grammar study or vocabulary, or try to listen/watch something Japanese, read a book/story/whatever in Japanese.
I look at how I did things, and I see I spent too much time on Wanikani and too little on other aspects of study, meaning I did pretty well on the kanji part of the N3 test I did, but not so well on the rest. And the big pile of reviews is still haunting me. I mean, I got them down to 0 again, but It rises to at least 80 every day which takes time off other study areas. Which is also why I stopped doing lessons until the pile shrinks down. I want to be around 50 apprentice.

Haven’t made an update in a while… I am level 11, after spending 50 days on level 10 
but I’ve started grammar and am finishing up a school semester so I’m not a total slacker!

Yes please, i cant do it yet. But question… how do i know my speed? ive used the wk stat page, but im not entirely sure what i should set as the speed.

If you are using the old version of WK stats like I am than you should see a graph at the end, your speed is the time you took to clear the last level (since you are lv 2, you should use the time you took to clear lv 1). For example I took 7 days and 1 hour to clear lv 9 (currently level 10, although my badge hasn’t been updated yet here) so I put that as speed.
If instead you are using the new WK stats, you probably missed the tabs it has. You have to click in Progress —> Level-up and the same chart will appear.
Anyway, I put you there without the speed for now.

Wee, level 18. I had a review with three kanji to level up. Failed two of them, but the last one was enough 
Took 8 days exactly.

Levelled up to level 3! It took me 10 days, 6 hours, 36 minutes. I was slow on that one but I’m slowly getting the hang of it!

took a bit of a break again. just for a week or so this time. i was overwhelmed with packing, applying for a job etc. but now that i am settled into my moms place for the next few weeks i think i am ready to learn more.
i am back where i was before i took a few months off due to schooling stress.
also took the plunge and bought lifetime… i hope i don’t regret it lol since it was still a lot of money.
