Polite Twitter speak in Japanese?

So I’ve noticed Japanese Twitter users sometimes say 失礼します when jumping into threads (which kind of cracks me up), but… anyone know what FF外から失礼します means? What’s FF?

Saw this on Kotaku US a few weeks ago:

TL;DR: it means “follow” and “follower”

Thanks @rfindley and @feoya! That clears it up. Also that illustration in the Kotaku article is perfect haha

I’m totally with the Kotaku article. FF means Finally Fantasy. Forever.

Yeah honestly I was stuck trying to come up with some connection between Final Fantasy and cats (because obviously most of the tweets I read are about cats…)
