I thought it might be interesting to post a few favourite phrases that show how polite Japanese people can be, and also where you really have to pay attention until the end of the sentence to figure out it’s a negative verb and changes the whole feeling!
For example - try this for size:
間違っているとは思いません。
まちがっているとはおもいません。
Translation: “I don’t disagree”
