醸す(to brew), as of now, has a distracting mnemonic. This mnemonic reads as follows: You want to brew up some beer but not the regular boring stuff. You’re going to make it from the water in the hump of a camel (かも). Camel beer is definitely not a horrible idea, right?
It is admittedly charming and memorable, however, I always remember the main part camel as hinting at the reading (かめ).
I think a better theme would be for example the word camo, as in someone wearing camo.
The mnemonic could, for example, be the following: You want to brew up some beer but not the regular boring easy to see stuff. You want to brew a camouflaged beer, a camo (かも) beer, that wont stand out in your office meetings, or when you’re driving.
Possibly tone down the drinking and driving joke, but something along those lines. Are there any other better suggestions for mnemonics that more accurately capture the sound かも I would love to read them.
