I notice recently that I’m not getting new lessons as fast, to the point that I’ve now completely caught up and am not getting new lessons for ~2 days, I used to have some lessons one or two levels behind and I don’t think I’m aggressively doing new lessons either.

Congrats! You’ve finished all your lessons!
You need to focus on reviews now. Looks like you have about half of the kanji at your current level guru’d. You’ll unlock more lessons when you get 90% of them and level up.

I see, thanks! I was wondering if there’s a limit on how many items I can have in review state - I know I have a lot of items already but I’m still comfortable to take more

It’s not that there’s a limit (I have almost 4000 reviews waiting) but more that accumulating reviews isn’t the aim here. You’re supposed to do the reviews.
