Nihongo no Mori JLPT Mock Exam - extended to July 8

Wait a second, why do you have the two categories Language Knowledge (Vocabulary/Grammar) and Reading with 60 points each but I have the categories Language Knowledge (Vocabulary - Kanji) and Grammar - Reading with 60 points each on my certificate
And now that I look at the Japanese text it still says 語葉 /⽂法 for the first category on my certificate, but the English translation doesn’t say anything about grammar, weird. But I guess in the end it doesn’t really matter anyways

Sure, here you go. It’s the one you get if you enter your birthday as well after completing the test

When I start the N3 exam, it shows “Vocabulary - Kanji”, “Grammar - Reading” and “Listening” on the right

So it actually also says 語葉 on there. Odd.

Edit: this doesn’t even seem to be a word (according to jisho).

I think they mixed up 言葉 and 語彙

I have 語彙. I have 言葉. Ah, 語葉. Sorry, I had to do it

Thanks for the tip! I’ll try again later. You should be proud of yourself for passing though - N3 isn’t that easy! I failed the actual test twice so this one makes me nervous.

Don’t mind me, I needed a mnemonic for this one because I’ve lost count of how many times I failed it!

Well done to all the test takers!

You are right…I failed last Dec too so it’s nice to see anything that resembles improvement. Best of luck of if you can finish the remaining sections!

:slightly_smiling_face:…BTW, the listening section was very spoiled. Headphones AND diagrams with color :rainbow: :open_mouth:. Plus Yuka is a familiar voice, thought I might hear some spontaneous song and dance with the bird at any moment.

合格しました!

Yeah, saltiness over technical problems aside, I really appreciate the amount of work they put in to putting this whole thing together for us. I originally figured they’d use questions from former tests or books or something but it seems like they actually made the test content themselves. Yuka-sensei’s little message at the end of the test was sweet too. Hopefully if this happens again, they’ll give at least a 24-hour test window so that the servers don’t crash.

Listening to Yuka-sensei’s YouTube video today, it seems that you can still take the test until July 8th, 14:00 Japan time. That’s the time the exam shuts down, so you’d need to start the test a couple hours before in order to finish by then.

She also said that the system saves your data as you go, so you could go straight to the listening part you missed and resume from there.

Knowing your goal I have to say a big おめでとう!

I could not concentrate on reading but I’m really happy to pass! I was feeling bad yesterday about my Japanese so I ended up all emotional passing (even if it’s not the real test!), I think I only had a score of 86 when I last took the actual test.

@s1212z Once again thanks for the tip - the problem seemed fixed when I went back on again and everything else was fine.

@FireFairy おめでとう to you too! I’m really happy for you

Since the deadline was extended I actually think I might attempt it…I don’t know how to fit it into my schedule but I kind of want to give N2 a go. I’m not expecting to pass, but I would be interested in seeing how far I can get with what I have. Hmmmm…

Yooo, I passed N2 too!? Did not get a higher score than on the N3, so that trend ended with this one, hehe.

I clearly need to practice more reading :eyes: Have to admit I zoned out a bit during the long texts :eyes::sweat_drops: I’m proud of my listening score tho :triumph::sparkles:

I failed the N5 one but it was not a bad as I feared. The overall score would be good enough but I didn’t get enough points in the reading part. It seems I need to read more.

Does the listening section for the N1 one really take an hour? I got to that section pretty quick, but then saw 59 minutes and felt too lazy for that right now…

Thanks for the heads up on this! I just did the N4 test for some early practice (hoping to take the real test at the end of the year). I passed but did quite terribly at the listening part

Is the listening section this slow and boring in the real N4 test? It was hard to stay concentrated and listen properly… (gotta work on this!)

Yes, it’s actually a whole hour, though there are a couple of minutes in the beginning and about half way through where there is just music (e.g. break)

Same thing happened to me. I lost my patience with the reading and just filled the boxes at random. I was punished lol!

I was very annoyed with the hiragana. I had never practiced and I could not tell the words apart without kanji.

I can’t take the real one until next december now. I should aim for N4.
