New Update Complications

Recently there’s been an update that is ruining my flow of study and making the website more frustrating than it needs to be. Previously, if I answered something wrong I’d click on the eyeball icon and review the meaning or reading, then tap enter and proceed to the next flash card seamlessly.

Now if I make a mistake I still go to the meaning and reading area below the eyeball icon, but when I tap enter to proceed it stays on the same flash card and just opens and closes the meaning until I click somewhere randomly on the page. This has drastically reduced my pace for going through reviews and has made frustrating mistakes even more frustrating. I don’t know why they changed this. I wish they would switch it back to the way it was before.

Use the keyboard shortcuts instead. F to show item info, E to expand it. If you do it that way, enter will still advance to the next card.

They changed it because the previous behaviour was preventing people who were using accessibility functions from viewing the item info.

Oh my gosh, I thought that was a me problem. (I also just started using a keyboard for reviews and was not familiar with how it used to be done.) I’ll try doing them with Belthazar’s method now.

I would like to point out that I have gone into detail on this change over here: Change with effect of [ENTER] in reviews . Hopefully this is helpful.
