No worries, I think any discussion is interesting! I really think in the case of Bocchi the anime helps a lot, also to see the character’s personalities.
And to link it back to Nana: I haven’t clicked on the videos posted of the anime, I think I am too scared of changing the image of Nana that I already have in my head :o (and I have no trouble imagining the personalities of the characters here, the faces are so well drawn haha). Plus with an anime you don’t control the pace, but when you read, you can stare at who you want as much as you want and see a lot of details, I think it’s more fitting for Nana to read it in manga form (but would be curious to hear what others think, as long as you don’t make me watch 
)

Omg I totally agree! I watched the first ep and that went by sooner than I could read the first page of the manga (more of a me problem I guess). But I just have sooo much fun with the manga and the characters are so unique in their own way that I have no problem telling them apart.
Also, like you mentioned, I feel like reading also helps me stick with the scene a lot longer and that way I have the space to think about the characters & situations and come up with my reflections (I heard a person talking about “deep reading” where they’re just taking everything in and letting themselves think about the story rather than rushing to read the reviews or moving on to something else and I’ve also tried to do that ever since then!)

Selling sex - one of the slang uses of the word やる refers to having sex. So basically, Nana was accused of prostitution.

Yep. I know that NANA was published in the noughties, but I often feel that it really is set in the nineties - the references to baggy socks, 黒ギャル( the other Nana’s sister wears the tan make-up), 援助交際 were all features of nineties Japanese teen culture.
- edit just read the Wikipedia entry and it appears an initial section of NANA was published in 1999

I remember that it featured in the 2004 movie 誰も知らない (Nobody Knows) as well. A very good movie I never want to watch again.

Don’t read unless you’ve alread read page 120 she also feels guilty because she thinks that her grandma basically died because of her, since she started getting weak after the rumor, that if she had denied it maybe she wouldn’t have died

I don’t know that it was, I only referenced the movie because of the young girl prostituting herself which was a plot point in the current chapter.

Ah okay, got it. I may give it a whirl and just look up that scene to confirm.
I’m not actually reading the manga (@Akashelia did mention it in another thread and it sounded interesting)… but now from what y’all are saying here it seeems it may be even more “adult-oriented” than I thought it would be.
On the other hand, I very briefly skimmed through the anime episode linked earlier, and it looks to be more for teens/YAs… 
Anyway… side note on the anime: one Nana has a very cool voice, the other Nana has an insufferable one 
(sorry!)
