Ran into Japanese super immersion recently. I feel like their level changes a lot but probably at lower end.

I wonder if that kind of stuff could live here?

I’m curious now what @taiyousea would add to the list :innocent:

Added it to the list, thanks!

Ooh, that’s a cool channel. I put N4-N3 since it might vary.

I’ve been enjoying SoundLibrary, which I see in that thread you posted (thank you for linking to that!), and SokoAni! Both are N2-N1 level. SoundLibrary is a storytelling podcast that uses some fun atmospheric sounds and music to add to the story’s ambience. And SokoAni is an anime review podcast that started all the way back in 2007 and still publishes pretty frequently.

SBSの日本語放送

Not a podcast aimed at Japanese learners - more a podcast for expatriate Japanese living in Australia but probably excellent for people wanting to get better at listening to formal “news” level Japanese. Usually 10-12 minutes long, has a weekly news wrap & general interest stories. A familiarity with Australian news would be an asset especially when listening to the weekly news wrap. I’d rate this N2 - N1. Definitely not easy listening but short and sweet.

Recently I’ve been enjoying the Badonkadonk Podcast. Not sure where their comedic banter fits on the list, but it’s entertaining – there’s a dose of Kansai dialect as well.

I feel like it could of benefit to people who are in the N5-N4 level. Should this be added to the list?

I’ve been listening a lot recently to the Youtube channel あかね的日本語教室. It’s super useful, she makes a lot of vlogs in all kind of real-life situations and also grammar videos. I’m not sure of the rating though, N3-N2 ? She’s on Spotify too (she also wrote a great conversation book with a Spotify playlist to accompany it if anyone reading this is interested).

Thank you so much for providing this detailed list!

Would you also be so kind as to update the list with if they offer transcripts?
If you are ok with this, I can add a column and fill in for the podcasts that I am currently using.
