Anyone know of any good podcasts in Japanese?

It would be great if they are on the Apple “podcast” app. So I can download them easily and listen on the go. However it isn’t a must. Also current events discussed casually theme would be good!

Thanks in advanced!

I really like Nihongo Con Teppei - he has both beginner and intermediate content, and uploads really regularly. I’m pretty sure it’s available on Apple!

Thank you!

However, I’m more looking for podcasts in Japanese, rather than podcasts for learners of Japanese

I usually listen to coten radio on google podcasts. I think it’s about history and they’re usually 30 minutes long

Well, it is in Japanese for learners of Japanese, but it is a pretty unique podcast. I kind of graduated to native podcasts, but still listen to Teppei now and then because he is so great and is an easy listen. He basically rambles about a lot of interesting everyday stuff. I credit a lot of my learning to him.

Give it a try. Unless of course you have no trouble understanding native podcasts comfortably, it is not probably relevant anymore.

There is NHKラジオニュス, バイリンガルニュス (half English half Japanese, sometimes a bit too much English for us JP-learners maybe), and the one I keep up to date on currently, “Let’s learn Japanese from small talk” (completely JP). I’d give those a try!

I also still have “Big in Japan”, “Machigai Podcast” and “Slow and Easy in Japan” in my list, but can’t speak for them as I haven’t listened to those yet.

I listen to the podcasted shows from Sakura Radio, a japanese language station in the US http://www.sakuraradio.com/ - I use android so I’m not sure if they’re available on Apple’s podcast app.

I really like the Konnichiwa Podcast at https://konnichiwapodcast.podbean.com/
It’s a bilingual podcast and it’s fairly easy to follow because they say it in both languages.
