Another option is going to bandcamp.com and exploring by tags. This will take a little more active effort and time than just relying on algorithms, but you’ll have a higher chance of finding music that fits the bill, and that you like, as well.

It’s a bit hard to find in the US but the band Galileo Galilei is one of my favorites. Lots of acoustics and more indy-sounding!
