Let's set our goal for year end 2017!

SCARY INTERNET STRANGER!

But seriously, I appreciate it! :sparkling_heart:
I’ll see if I can come up with any Danganronpa-related questions

Ah, yeah. You’re correct, the feature they added to do it yourself is pretty recent. But yeah, had you emailed them, they would’ve done the reset for you. I don’t blame you though. You seem to be doing okay now, yeah?

I’ve been here long enough to be 10 if I had worked hard

Yeah. Slow for sure, but steady. Average of 25 days per level. Haven’t even passed N5 yet, so no rush.

Hoping to steam ahead to level 23! Unfortunately discovered WK kind of late in the kanji-learning process, but I still have so much to learn and the review has been great for me. I’m sure I’ll slow down as soon as I reach the point where unfamiliar kanji outnumber familiar ones, but for now…

My goals for the year 2017

  1. Try not to die.
  2. Try not to get depressed.
  3. Try to recover after reseting…
  4. Get myself motivated and signup for a Japanese course at my local university.
  5. Get a life.

Almost 0 hope about the last one… i had a life and a lot of friends but only when i was in Yokohama ;-(
time to save whole school year and spend my next summer there again

I’ll join you on your journey to level 20. Seems possible.

Level 60, N2. I’ve been busy lately and slacking off on the wanikani, but it’s still doable I think

Level 5, N5 (A1-2) xDD, proud of myself… Retarded screech

Shooting for level 50, finishing up Tobira, passing N3 and cleaning out a lot of my reading pile.

Best of luck!

It’ll take me longer than the ABSOLUTE FAST MAXIMUM SPEED WOW to finish because I work a ton. Therefore, getting to level 35 is my goal.
I have kanji writing practice to get to as well. Half way through N2 kanji on there, so not bad I guess.
I have Japanese entrance exams for school in a few months, then more in spring. So any progress is too slow haha

Stats site says my average level time so far is 9 days, 7 hours but lately it’s been closer to 10-12. So I’m going to assume 12 days per, from here on out. I tend to take a little while to go through my lessons when a new level starts, because I don’t like to take on a bunch of kanji at once.

Anyway 12 per would let me fit in about 10 more levels, getting me to 22. I guess if I just take the kanji lessons faster and I could try for 25. But I only imagine things will be getting much harder, not easier, so I guess my goal is to just not slow down from the pace of recent levels.

I also gave up on finding an online SRS-like solution for Grammar and ordered Genki 1, so we’ll see how long I can tolerate archaic “pen and paper” learning methods. I swear I haven’t written in a book since grad school over a decade ago…

I take the slow pace with 11d 17h aprox.
WIll be looking forward to 22 or even 23 with this speed.
But maybe you guys here will give me enough motivation to go even faster =)

My Biggest goal for 2017 is take and pass the N4. I am almost level 5 now and there are 18 weeks left until 2017… so level 23 is like the max I could expect to reach.

I think if I pass N4 I will be ecstatic… but I will also shoot for maybe level 20 by the end of the year too?

Level 45, find the courage to start speaking to people, and find myself in Paris-- whoops, wrong topic!

You may well dislike being in England as much as me (lol)

hehehe, I wish it were not so. but also, royal mail lost my visa and won’t pay for its replacement, so I’m not legally allowed to leave OR live here until the replacement comes in. yeah. figure that one out. xD

At least you weren’t like the 100+ EU citizens who got them letters saying they were being deported!

Sounds like Royal Mail to me, I’ve never known a company to be so shit at everything

I’m thinking level 15-18 for me. Reset a couple of times, but taking my time a bit on this round. A bit slower but retaining more things on this go around…

If my calculations are right, at my current pace I’d reach level 28 by the end of the year. So at least level 25 should be my goal. I also want to have completed the Core 2000 course on iKnow (currently nearly 75% through Core 1000).

Hoping I’ll see a real difference in reading ability compared to now!
