leveled up to 8 my first level up since coming back from hiatus!! it was kind of hard to get to this point bc i had like 900 reviews (and im still getting way too many every day, i hope that evens out again soon ><) but ive started just keeping a wanikani tab open and checking on it every few hours as im doing other computer things. its much faster and more efficient! i hope i can reach level 9 in a more reasonable amount of time

Thank you! The cause is just the usual stuff! Life, health concerns, getting back to work, not enough hours in the day for everything. So when I’m doing my lessons and reviews, I’m not putting as much focus as I was able to before. Hopefully that’ll change once things settle down.

I’ve just caught up with vocab yesterday morning and unlocked L06 Kanji pt 2 last evening. Some readings are leechalicious but I’ll hunt them down over time and squish them!

As a fan of Card Captor Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth, Tokyo Tower comes to mind more easily than Tokyo Skytree…

Same!! Everything got better when I reset and tackled it fresh (and slower)! Forum threads like this are a great help as well 
I feel you on this there was a time when it felt like the Tokyo Tower showed up in everything! But let’s see, I believe the Skytree shows up in Devil Survivor 2 and Persona 5, but they call it the “Sky Tower”. I guess Skytree must be a copyrighted name or something…

I’m not planning to! Did my radicals, I’m going to work on the kanji, and I plan to do about 18 vocab lessons a day for this lesson. I normally have anywhere from 2-5 hours a day to study, do self-quizzes, and reinforce with kaniwani. It’s worked out so far, but I’m starting to try to space things out a bit more. I don’t want to burn out!
I’ve also found if I do the kanji while walking the track at my local park for an hour or so, I have really good recall on everything.

lv16 0/0 mark get! … damn, instead of new kanjis I focused lv15 vocab first to clear my backlog and now all the lv16 kanjis going to get cleared the same time at Saturday. Guess I just die next week under avalanche of 80 remaining lv16 vocabs that will become available then 
To clear backlog first turned to be not such a brilliant idea, I guess

Today is a big day for me! Not only did I make it to level 14 but this is also the furthest that I have ever made it on Wanikani! I usually make it to level 9-13 and then fall off the wagon and then come back and do a reset. I am not going to give up this time!

From now on this will be my goal. I was fast at the beginning, eager to learn many kanji, but now I have slowed down quite a bit. Spring 2022 seems to be a good goal for me.
