Level 29! My focus is totally waning during lessons so these last two levels are gonna be very iffy as they came back for another round of guru reviews.

Yay! Just leveled up after 61 days on level 21! This was my slowest level yet (caused by being busy at work and taking a loooong vacation). Hoping to crank up my speed again and make it to level 23 within two weeks. Can’t wait for winter to come around so I don’t need an excuse to stay inside

Work will interfere with the best-laid plans, but as long as you keep rising you’ll surely make it! I hope your vacation was fun and gave you strength and inspiration for the future. Sometimes stepping outside for a bit (figuratively and literally) is a good thing, planned or not, but it’s great to have you back!

slow and steady wins the race is now my motto when it comes to wanikani 
coming back from vacation made me realize how much i had missed studying my kanji every day. i’m glad that so far i’ve kept at it, even when times got rough, just slowed down the pace when feeling a bit overwhelmed instead of quitting

You have been my secret “rival” for a while (Pokemon terminology!), and I have no shame in admitting this, but when you didn’t update your level I had to check out your profile to see what was going on here 
I know this is most definitely not a race, but you never know what twists and turns this path will take as we both soar to the top of the Skytree. All that matters is that we help to propel each other to the top, and bath in the glory that awaits us there… because @Marifly promised an onsen at the top so that has been helping me so much with keeping on top of reviews and lessons. If that onsen wasn’t there I think I would give up learning Japanese altogether tbh, it really keeps me going in so many ways.

Just added myself. I will unlock the second set of Level 5 Kanji tonight, so I’m on the way up! Seems good to be setting a goal as a first post.

You were definitely on my “rival list” too, since we joined at a similar time and a similar level 
Maybe the fast levels give me a chance to stir things up between us 
Tbh I had to move this month and I thought I would lose a few days, but to my own surprise I managed to be quite consistent in my own level up times. I have to admit that this required me to search for a free wifi spot in my neighborhood a few times so i could do reviews
