I just Guru’d some Kanji and none of the vocabulary that should be unlocked is getting unlocked.
Is there currently a problem with the system?

I have the same issue - just guru’d some Radicals but the new Kanji aren’t unlocking.
I think something similar has happened a couple of months ago already?

Yes. It did happen not long ago. Baffles me how this happens repeatedly.

I’m having this issue too
Hm, I just noticed too that I don’t think the lesson count image is changing too. Ignore this if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the picture change once you reach 20+ lessons? I have 22 at the time of writing this and it’s showing the picture for less than 20 lessons (but not 0.)
Another edit: I went in to do my lessons and it reset to what seems to be the correct amount (35) with an accurate picture.

Can I trouble you to post some examples of what you have Guru’d and what you believe should be unlocked? It’ll help us look into it.

Example:
Level 15 item 信 guru’d. No related level 15 vocab unlocked.
Worth noting that it suddenly unlocked all by itself and is now OK. Probably worth checking out what happened anyway as it seems it has happened before too. Was the process queue on the server side backlogged or something else blocking the relevant events from firing?
Yeah, pretty much. A new async job was introduced and it took a lot longer for it to process depending on very niche conditions, so it held back the queue.
