Hello,
I just started lessons from level 58 and run into some kanji without any vocabluary at all, like 菅 or 漣.
Why not adding at least a single word with them? Is there a plan to add them in the future?
I know for some they wanted to add names, but they haven’t gotten around to it. I wonder if they ever will…
I agree with your point, but it usually goes without saying that it’s probably best to send these requests directly via email.
Like @seanblue mentioned there are items in the later levels that’s probably on their todo list.
Those are Jinmeiyō kanji, used only for names. That might explain why there’s no vocab.
Thanks! I just made some search in jisho.org and find a good number of words because i forgot the #common parameter; with that nothing is returned. I also checked the returned word and found a lot of scientific or very field’s specific terms.
Just to add to that, I just wish the names would be added as vocab (which doesn’t sound too hard to do), or at least the readins taught should be the name readings. Can I really say that I really learned 駿 if all I know about it is ‘speed’ and しゅん?
They’ve said they plan to add them, but I have no idea what’s holding them back.
@anon20839864 Is adding names for these kanji being worked on now/soon now that the major content overhaul is done?
I believe work on the backend is being done to prepare for names, but I do not have an ETA I can share.
