Kanji help (棘, solved)

Found this kanji during immersion and been searching for thirty minutes. Cannot find the meaning. Anyone have any idea?

I’ve probably missed something obvious.

Here’s the search on Jisho: 棘 - Jisho.org
It seems to be an alternate kanji for 刺とげ meaning “thorn”

Edit: Though further down the search there’s おどろ meaning “briar”
