I’m impatiently waiting too lmao. I heard the rumours of cheating/exam candidate impersonation as well, I’m not totally convinced that’s why we haven’t heard anything but I do think something funny might be going on. I’ve seen some people saying their institutions have notified them that results are out tomorrow, which I’m 100% sure is not happening, but it’s interesting there’s so much conflicting information going around. I’m hoping for results on the 27th maybe but who knows?
Edit: I meant 27th not 30th, i.e. next Monday, I can’t count apparently
True, but from what I’ve seen the results always seem to come out on a Monday Japan time so I’m kinda doubtful. Also, when I did it last year my exam centre emailed me the Friday before to let me know the results would be out the following Monday and I haven’t heard a peep from them this year. I’d love if I were put out of my misery tomorrow though!
Agreed, I’m also expecting a Monday! Unless because they’re late it’s Tuesday exceptionally, but that does seem strange, if the results were tomorrow surely there would be an announcement on the JLPT official website
Yes that’s what’s strange to me too, we haven’t heard anything from the official JLPT website! I’m thinking maybe some centres somehow just sent out that email by mistake, like I don’t think people are lying but I doubt it’s correct. Would be very happy to be wrong though.
Where did you guys hear about the possible cheating case? (I really enjoy people talking about the jlpt. So I don’t wanna be nosy I’d just like to have more sources for jlpt talk)
The German test center page updated its announcement for application forms for the summer jlpt going online from mid/end January to start/mid February. So it’s very likely result announcements are being postponed and that’s why they had to push back the start for applications as well.
Got this update from my test centre today, just thought I’d share. Seems the cheating rumours were off-base and the reason for the delay is due to an increased number of test takers this year. Hopefully we’ll get our results soon!
えー it seems incredible that more people take longer to grade as this is probably done with computers But okay!!
Thank you for sharing!! Looking forward to next week
The online Test Results Announcement for the JLPT 2024 (DECEMBER) is available for viewing from 10:00 am on January 31 (Fri.), 2025, to 5:00 pm on March 31 (Mon.) (Japan Time), 2025.
I went straight into study-hibernation after the N1. Haven’t really done anything since then (other than casual Anime/Drama/Gaming in Japanese). The test site was pretty nice. Was at least 1000 people just on the two floors they had for the N1.
I am 50/50 on the result though. That test was not fun at all. I did catch a glimpse of the answers of the guy in front of me. He had marked like 15 answers in a row with ‘3’ as the answer. Yikes…
Friday isn’t far away now, so here’s hoping I can keep my 一発目合格連続.
I think going from 117/180 on the N2, to 92/180 on N1 within the 5 months between the July and December test was a great leap no matter what. Though, I got annoyingly close to passing! Will definitely keep challenging the N1 going forwards, but not without as much focus on studying solely for the N1 as I have been.
I was also sick the entire week before the JLPT, so it probably didn’t help. I am going to blame my sneezing classmates for this one.
I am genuinely IN SHOCK at my score distribution though, what ON EARTH DO YOU MEAN I did better in listening than in reading??? I thought the reading went so well and the listening was nothing more than just okay??
Anyway we take it! From failing with 89/180 for the N4 in July to passing N3 with 126/180 in December feels pretty darn good especially given I really focused on my weaknesses of listening and grammar and it paid off!
