Thank you for replyingš I feel a lot less anxious nowš
Mine got delivered! Yours will be there soon, too, Iām sure. Did you get the email saying it would arrive within a week or two?
Nice!!
Yes, but that was 18 days ago!
Was it? Time goes fast!
 Time goes fast!
Right?! It was sent on the 30th of September actually. Thatās why I was worried suddenly, since I hadnāt realized that much time passed already
For anyone who wants it, Iāve updated my grammar sheet.
I deleted my notes section for the purposes of sharing. Most of them are word-for-word explanations from different grammar books so I thought it might be a bit iffy to keep (plus taking your own notes is the best way to learn!). I kept them for the first grammar points each though, so you all can get an idea of it. I figure the sentences canāt really be copyrighted so I at least kept those. And of course the structures.
For the most part only N1 and N2 are fleshed out completely since thatās what I was working on when I first made this grammar sheet. I was following the ę°å®å Øćć¹ćæć¼ęę³ books so theyāre in that order. N3-N5 were mostly an afterthought so theyāre not really filled in at all.
There are most likely some mistakes, if anyone catches them let me know. Also if anyone has any other grammar points to add for anything level let me know. (I feel like N1 has a never-ending amount of them. I added a few more just today and Iāve been working on this thing for months.)
Hope this helps some people!
Wow thanks! Iāll have a look through your N2 list for sure!
So two days ago I finally got my result back. I passed n4!
My score was pretty bad compared to what I expected (64+46=110, minimum was 90), probably blew the grammar part. Still, 87% percentile score isnāt too bad (especially seeing my preparation), apparently many people were on the verge of failing it.
Iām not active at all on the forum anymore. Even though I love the community, there are some other priorities right now, with very little time to even study Japanese.
For now, good luck everyone, Iāll be showing up in some 2020 JLPT forum again for N3
Depends on which video games youāre playing
To ho ho ho
But I know what you mean. Iām pretty burnt out on everything. I was studying pretty hard last month, and have basically decided to do nothing this month, and then hit next month hard again.
At this point Iāve gone from: I want to study so that I do as well on the N1 as I did on the N2.
To: I want to study just enough so that I just barely pass.
Iāve gone from: I donāt particularly feel like studying, Iāll just see how I do.
To: I really donāt feel like studying, hopefully Iām not woefully underprepared.
Iāve gone from: I will probably never study grammar

Guessing words in books counts as learning right?
Are the JLPT Official Practice Workbooks accurate to the difficulty in the real test? I just finished all of the N3 materials today and want to know if A) is it easier than the real thing? B) Did I pass? Iām not exactly sure what the passing score is.
I got 26/35 in Vocabulary, 10/18 in Grammar, 12/16 in Reading and 25/28 in Listening.
(help i hate grammar)
As far as I experienced, the practice tests are very comparable to the real deal. I havenāt done the full tests from the workbooks, but I did do several tests found elsewhere.
Oh, good! I spent a couple hours doing these and itās good to know itās not for naught. Thanks!
ā¦And also now Iām very afraid of the real grammar section⦠Now I know what my weaknesses and strengths are I know what Iāll be focusing my studies on in the coming weeks.
Only six weeks left. Grammar and vocab are my weak spots. Basically what itās all about.
Elsewhere that you can share?
The jlpt sensei one Iāve shared before. And I think most of you know about it.
If you search Nihongoden [n5/n4] practice test, you can find those too.
But I donāt think it has a recent one for N2 as well . They have the old style JLPT2 tests from 1998-2004. Oh no wait, those links donāt work. So they donāt have higher than N3.

I donāt feel ready for any JLPT Tests yet . Reading through the replies didnāt boost my confidence about it ^^. Sounds like the JLPT Tests are really difficult? I might take a Test next year

Depends on how well prepared you are, of course. There are 5 levels, N5 being the lowest. Depending on your methods and effort, that could be doable within a year. Of course there is no requirement to do these tests, but having one as a(n imaginary) goal can help you stay on track and give some structure to your studies.
