Japanese Sentence a Day Challenge

I’d put 今日は at the start, but yes. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d probably not use 仮に, honestly, since making it a conditional already gets the meaning through.

Agreed. From what I understand, 仮に is used more when saying things like “Supposing if”, like “Suppose you win a lottery”.

For something like this, the sentence structure I come across is something like:

今は雪が降り出すと学校へ行かない

Copying Logograph since I usually don’t have anything to say. :yum:

手術室に予約があるよ
医者が来て手術を行う
心を引き抜くよ、心臓の移植
痛みを受け取れ

It even fits the original timing, because I have issues.

Tenemos una cita en el quirófano
Vendrá el doctor, me aplicará cirugía
Me sacará el corazón, trasplante de corazón
Ahí te va mi dolor

Almost there, but I would use any of the other conditionals and write it like 降れば or 降ったら. when you use と it either clashes with 今 or you know it’s going to snow and 降り出す makes it sound like it’s a spontaneous thing.

Or you could maybe keep 降り出す, but use the other conditionals.

EDIT: Instead of 仮に if you really want to add extra emphasis, you can use もし.

今日、学校に行きました。I think that’s gramatically correct?

太郎が何人かの友達と一緒に家の近くにいる森に行くのであります.
そこでかくれんぼをしていて太郎は森の一番高い場所に生えてる大き木の中に入って隠れたのであります.

Taro went to the woods near his home with a few of his friends. There while playing hide and seek, Taro hid himself inside a large tree that was growing at the highest spot in the woods.

一,二時間頃経って,太郎はゆっくりと顔を外にでして見てびっくりした.
外には木立のかわりにビルや車などがあるから太郎は未来にやってきたのです.

After around one or two hours had passed by, Taro slowly put his face out and was surprised by what he saw. Instead of the trees, he saw things like buildings and cars since her had travelled into the future.

ありがとう to everyone that left feedback on my last sentence, usually I respond to it all but I just had an idea for my next sentence and I want to get it out my system before I forget (I have read it all though)!

今は 先生に新しくて青いペンで手紙を描いています。

Trying to say: Right now, I’m writing a letter to my teacher with a new blue pen.

From all the usages I have seen, the pattern is:

N is A1-て, A2-て, A3-て, desu.

Where N is the noun and A1, A2, A3 are adjectives.

However if you want to stack them as
Something was done using A1, A2, A3 Noun

You don’t need the て for that since you can stack them directly, like:
新しい青いペン

So the sentence would be:
今は 先生に新しい青いペンで手紙を描いています

Note: I am just learning so I might be completely off the mark.

私の妹は、バービー人形にウィッグを作ってあげたいからと、自分の髪の毛を切った。

My younger sister just cut off all of her hair so she could make wigs for her Barbie dolls.

I think this would flow nicer:

ウィッグを作るために自分の髪の毛を切った

And I believe if you want to say “all of her hair” it would be:
髪の毛のすべて

Very nice feedback, thanks!

You are welcome! I am still a beginner though, so please take what I say with a pinch of salt. Hopefully some of the seniors here can verify.

Make me.

It could also be: 切ってしまった。
Or, 髪の毛をすべて切った。though it doesn’t feel as natural to me. Maybe 全部 feels better.

Thanks! I am never sure when ってしまった is appropriate. Does it add emphasis ?

You can also say 彼女の髪の毛をすべて切った.

切ってしまった would emphasize that it was unfortunate in one way or another in most cases, but if you leave out すべて and just write 彼女の髪の毛を切ってしまった it may emphasize that her hair was “completely” cut.

EDIT: Dang, maybe I should also write something…

今日は相変わらずDuolingoでドイツ語と日本語を練習したかったけど、早くイライラしてやめたいつもりだった。しかし、LingoDeerをまだ試さなかったから、Duolingoの代わりにLingoDeerで日本語の練習を続けた。やっぱ、LingoDeerのほうがいいよ。発音が自然だし、たまたま基本を復讐するのがいいし。だから、LingoDeerをちゃんとしてみたい。

Yes, it’s “completely” or “accidentally”.

Like, “oh no, I ate all the cake”.

Or

“Dang, I completely forgot!”

そですか? なるほどですね. 分かりました. ありがとう!

「復讐」というのは何ですか? 辞書とかGoogle Translateで “Revenge” という意味です! LingoDeerは無料ですか?

それは復讐ですね。
いいんちょうさんは復習を書いた積もりだったと思います。
