意外に言葉とか単語はほとんど忘れない。たまにWKの復習したら点数が90%以下だけど、大抵に95%ぐらいだ。それでも、復習のアイテムはいくつだったか？たくさんのアイテムの時には点数がいつも低くなるよね。
そっか。僕は大抵90％以上だよ。例えば、昨日得意だった ー 100＋のアイテムのセットは100％だった。今日セットが三つあった。一つ目のセットは〜20のアイテムで二つ目のセットは30＋のアイテムだった。残念、どちらも90％以下だった。あっ、でも、最後のセットは50＋のアイテムで90％以上をしたね。
僕自身、たくさんアイテムがあれば、点数はいいよ。

Similar to yesterday’s より~方が today’s grammar point is ほど~ない
1)今日の天気は昨日ほど暖かくありません。
The weather today isn’t as warm as yesterday.
- 新しい店の値段は古い店ほど高くありません。
The new store’s prices aren’t as high as the old store.
3)思い出は10年前ほどよくありません。
My memory isn’t as good as it was 10 years ago.
The bunpo app gave an example with weight saying you can sometimes use より~ない interchangeably with ほど~ない but other grammar resources I see use only ほど~ない。
For example the app said :
AはBより太っていません
Is the same as
AはBほど太っていません。
I guess it is best to stick to only using ほど~ない though…

Still good to know about alternatives with the same meaning though. Just because you don’t use them, that doesn’t mean others won’t, so if you can at least recognise them you’re golden.

Then what is the sense of this random challenge anyway? I think we could have done this better if we converse instead of making random sentences. I urge you to take note of that since that there are so many others who are learning japanese in a hard way. You could help them by conversing here instead. That is the best way to learn not by using random sentences a day. That is very much a different way of learning since that it is not organic and it even sucks to see random thoughts in a single thread as well.
The whole category allows for that. Any thread can be used for that purpose. It’s a bit strange to come in and tell people not to use this one for its stated purpose.
Besides, some people don’t want to converse, they just want a place to make sentences and potentially get feedback on them.
You can mute the thread if you don’t want to see it.

You’re free to converse, some of us are doing just that. However, conversation leans on actually being able to comprehend what others are saying, which is a level not all of us are at, as well as an interest in the subject matter and even having a conversation in the first place, which not everyone here has.
“Best” is not an achievable goal. Sure, conversing here is better than writing a random sentence, but an even better way would surely be to converse with a native speaker instead? In the end, writing a random Japanese sentence out of context is still much better than not writing a Japanese sentence at all.

I urge you to take note of the first post in which the goal of consistent production practice is quite liberally stated.
I also urge you to explore the forums as there are many threads about conservations, even ones made by the mods or ones that have active discord servers with the strict goal of conservation.
Did you know that Japanese people quite often randomly speak aloud their thoughts to themselves?

2 things:
- Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that it should be 聞いています instead of 聞く, since it’s an ongoing action connected to the present.
- Not sure if it should be 私も毎日ポッドキャストを聞いています instead of ポッドキャストも (or does either work?)
I didn’t even consider the ている-form, but I guess it might be correct. I struggle with this, because my native language doesn’t have the respective form for ている at all! So even in English, I just naturally go for ex. “I study” instead of “I’m studying” quite often, unless I’m doing the action right then when I’m talking.

Either one is fine for this example, you’re just choosing between the nuance of “Everyday I listen to podcasts” or “I’m listening to podcasts everyday”
Again, I think this is just a matter of nuance. 私も is what I also would have written because the emphasis is on I also am doing x thing, me being the “thing” that is “also” if that makes sense.

BOOM, managed to sneak a new-ish-to-me grammar point in there and everything
It’s the difference between “I, as well as other people, listen to podcasts” and “I listen to podcasts, as well as to other things”. In your sentence I’d go for 私も, ポッドキャストも feels a bit weird in relation to @Evanwiggleswade’s sentence.
