Hello, everyone! As usual, I have translated two more chapters from Aryn’s rescue again!
(Romano:)
(Moruki:)
(Romano:)
There was nobody on the road that hadn’t been used for a long time. After walking for an hour, the saw the trees of the forest.
(Romano:) I think that Aryn’t isn’t far away (anymore).
(Moruki:) It will be dangerous from here on. Let’s prepare for batte!
Romano took out the bow, Moruki the sword.
(Romano:) What is that?
I think I might be missing something obvious here, but I don’t really understand the なと in the first sentence of Romano I’m pretty sure I just forgot something really simple, but could someone please help me with it? I assume that と is marking a quotation there (in this case, a thought), but what about the な?
(Romano:)
(Romano:)
There was a big wolf in the middle of the road.
(Wolf:) Who are you? What are you doing here?
(Romano:) We came for (the sake of) rescuing Aryn.
(Wolf:) Bahaha! You say that you puppies of the king want to rescue the princess? First, you will have to defeat me!
(Romano:) Let’s defeat him, Moruki!
Jeez, now it’s starting to get really epic! I’m really looking forward to the next two chapters! I’m pretty sure if I wouldn’t translate everything, I would’ve read the whole story by now haha, but I really need the practice
Thanks a lot! Yes, it is indeed a great story, and I really like it! I’ve already peeked into the later chapters a bit, and from what I saw, it’s going to get really epic!
I’m not sure how far you are with grammar yet, but @drdru said that it’s around N4. Perhaps you could give it a try?
Hm, yeah, I think that might be a bit early. But you can give this one a try, perhaps? AFAIK, it’s about N5 I haven’t read it myself yet, but I plan to do so after finishing Aryn’s rescue!
Basically that’s my understanding. な often introduces a kind of “musing” feeling to a statement about wondering or guessing something, especially when speaking to yourself.
That’s kindergarden stuff How about the Riemann hypothesis?
I’ve actually already made multiple attemps about how to solve it, but I guess my main problem is that I’m still looking at it as if I was searching for zeros lmao. My very first attempt was to use the functional equation of it, and while I realised pretty fast that I’d have to search for the zeros of the Gamma(1-s) part, I have no idea how I should do that, since it is a function that’s defined via an integral lol.
Another approach of mine was to try to first differentiate it and the integrate it again to see if I could somehow derive a more useful form (yeah, kinda inspired by Feynman’s technique there), but well, as you could have already guessed it, that didn’t help me as well
Another on, my most recent one, was that I tried to find a way to write any function in terms of a sum of a function or a certain function from a certain type, but I found out that this didn’t help me as well, as the forms that I derived by doing this were needlessy complicated and even less useful than the original one.
As you can see, I’ve already spent quite some time trying to defeat that monster of a problem, but in the end, I ended up where I started
