Still so many things to be answered! Looking forward to discover more of what has happened 5 years ago for each of them. Though I can’t see Sara as a love interest at all, I’m hoping it will be a different relationship with her!
I usually feel the same, but this time it’s just annoying. This cold seems to drag on forever and ever, and it peaked last weekend so that I had to cancel three events I’d been looking forward to. The only bright side is that I’m now caught up on all my clubs.
Unfortunately not. I spend a month in Japan last fall and don’t feel ready to splurge again that soon . This time, I’m not even really on vacation for the most part. Just visiting my parents over Easter, taking my work laptop so that I can work remotely from their place, and then about a week of actual vacation (Northern Italy).

Same. I fear that the author will shoehorn in a romantic ending anyway, but I can’t really imagine it being convincing. Sara’s choice in the final choice point of the prologue felt very natural to me (I would probably have clicked it first if I hadn’t been bound by the club’s order), but only because she vibes with the MC in a platonic way because of their shared conviction that he’s from the future. They have no romantic chemistry and the fact that her character design makes her look like 12 is also off-putting.
I feel you! I was sick with a cold for three weeks in a row just recently just started to feel better this past Sunday, finally.

Just started the game and read about 17k char!
I’m trying out texthooker for the first time to see if I like the tracking, so thanks all for your advice! Though I’m assuming I can’t clear my cache, right?
So I went in completely blind so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m a big fan of time slips/travel and/or multiple timelines/universes so I’m intrigued I think this will be my first time playing a full galge so I’m kind of excited about that as well XD
Setsuna is so over-the-top but he’s a lovable idiot lol. My favorite character is Harisu (Harris?) so far— his reactions were hilarious. Someone give the man a bonus for putting up with Setsuna
And of course I had to play the bad ending first. From the walkthrough, I can see there’s a lot of them, so I wonder how bad they are or maybe they’ll continue to be as short as the first one.

I guess, depends how much you care about having your total char count / the whole back log! I actually copy the output to a text file to back it up after a session just in case (though not sure just in case of what and never lost the data so far even though I’m playing since last July)

From what I’ve seen, the bad endings are all pretty short and the alternate routes in the prologue also aren’t much of a detour. Once I realized this, I stopped playing with the guide and just went blind, too. It’s so much more fun.
That’s my impression too. I think that’s why I’ve seen too that this VN is recommended as a good pick for a first one too, it’s less complicated than some others where it’s almost impossible to find all the endings unless you have a guide for it (or a lot of time to try all combinations)
I saw there were two save points for this route so thought the first one would be earlier on in the story but instead every choice in this route is basically all in this one scene back to back
This route I am kind of mixed on so far. The story feels like it got intense fast. The MC joked around with Karen a lot in the prologue but I never felt the proper romantic tension to really buy into this so far. Also feels like some of the scenes can’t decide if they want to be serious or not often going back and forth with jokes then more heavy topics, especially when it involves Karen’s dad.
The random English was great, this is probably my favorite line in the VN
Overall I do think the humor is a lot better in this route compared to the prologue. A lot of the scenes made me laugh more here. The tutoring scenes were cute too although I’m not really sure why they spent so much time talking about genetics. Not sure if that is going to be relevant later on or tie into the time travel stuff somehow?
The CGs have been great.
Glad to see some new songs appeared in this route too. I like the music but some of the tracks were starting to feel overused so it feels nice to hear some new ones.

Karen’s speech is so hard to understand sometimes
Just had a revelation, when she says “くだらねぇ”, it means “くだらない” ! Funny how it’s almost exactly the same so in theory it wouldn’t be that hard to guess, but that would suppose that you even know that the word くだらない exists. And Yomichan is not helping at all with this kind of speech.
I’ve just begun two days ago, so I’m pretty late, but I second the first impressions of @Boodil on the MC, unfortunately
(and I’ve just finished an otome where I really disliked the MC, so It seems I have no luck with VN these times )

Are you in scene 12 yet? That’s the worst one in the entire prologue, imo; I also ranted about it when I got to it. After that, the sexual harassment “humor” becomes easier to bear because it gets less screentime in comparison to the more serious parts of the plot. Also, it turns out that Karen also has a penchant for lewd jokes and can on occasion give as good as she gets. It’s still not my idea of funny, but at least there hasn’t been a scene that felt downright rapey in awhile. So if you’ve just finished 12, you might consider giving this another chance.
I’m a little further (when they clean his room), but yes, I think that’s scene 12. But I was continously mentally facepalming myself in the scene where they clean the room, so I don’t know if I can bear any more of that

The suspense is definitely building up! I like how the game gives you all these scientific theories as hints (or so I assume). Honestly I always thought Steins;Gate would be beyond my level due to all the scientific theories they introduce in the game, but getting past the scene with Kuon made me proud and more confident in myself Also glad we got to finally meet Kuon face-to-face! At first I thought it’d be Rinne herself due to the hair color XD
I find the humor light and relaxing in general, and sometimes I sight / roll my eyes at the bit at the cringy remarks but that’s it for me. I agree that if it gives you a different vibe, you might as well drop it, so many other things to read
I think you might be right about Sara… I’m on her route now and went for the first bad ending there and omg that was scary I think I will behave on that route!
Haha agreed. And she doesn’t look like a grown-up woman at all, I mean Rinne is 17, so how old is Kuon, at least 35 more like 40, right? Doesn’t show at all! (from the little we can see)
I’m with you, I’m pretty uncomfortable with his lewd humor, but I’m trying to keep an open mind. I usually have no issues with male gaze (some of my favorite male MCs are also pretty cringy) but this might be the first VN I’ve played where it’s so prevalent to the point where I was trying to google some obscure term only to find out it was pervy
