I’ve reset my progress all the way from level 39 to level 1. (My heart hurts, yet here we are)
My hiatus was too long, my review log of 1000 made me depressed and unlikely to start studying. I would keep making the same mistakes over and over again.
Now I would like a fresh start and actually stick to the daily studying habit that makes WaniKani work.
Now, perhaps I kind of regret starting at level 1 where I have to wait until Tuesday to get the final reviews for the first radicals…
Is there a tool of some kind that lets me get to these reviews a little quicker? I’d use it to get up to a level where I start feeling it’d be useful to learn it slowly again.

You’ll have to face the consequences of resetting all the way to level 1, enjoy it while you can… I did reset all the way as well and this waiting part is just a drop in the ocean, it will pass sooner than you expect it, and then don’t forget to manage your amount of lessons for day well, so you won’t get swamped with reviews when you start to burn stuff.
I don’t regret resetting the journey is less stressful and the learning process now brings more depths to my understanding. Perhaps you’ll find the journey more rewarding after the reset as well?
If you stick to 15 lessons a day it will take you about 10-11 days per level, though some of the levels at the beginning have more than 200 items so you might want to check it out again and see how you deal with those.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the lesson picker, you can use a fixed lesson amount or choose which items you want to learn in the advanced option (no idea if you had a chance to use it before your long hiatus). You can find in depths explanations of your options here (you can get there through the help button on the dashboard and choose wanikani update).
